| 1Konša tulin tiän luo, vellet, en tullun šanelomah teilä Jumalašta šuurilla šanoilla enkä viisahilla pakinoilla. | 1When I came to you, brothers, I didn’t come with excellence of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. |
| 2Mie kun niätšen piätin, jotta tiän luona ollešša en taho tietyä mistänä muušta kun vain Iisussašta Hristossašta, vain ristihnuaklitušta Hristossašta. | 2For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. |
| 3Olin šielä arka, varasin niin, jotta ihan vapisin. | 3I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. |
| 4Konša mie pakasin tiän kera ta šanelin Hyvyä Viestie, en starainun näyttyä viisahalta, vain miun šanoissa oli Jumalan Henken voima. | 4My speech and my preaching were not in persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, |
| 5Šentäh tiän ušon pohjakši ei tullun ihmisien viisahuš, a Jumalan voima. | 5that your faith wouldn’t stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. |
| 6Viisahie šanoja myö šanelemma niillä, ket on kypšytty ottamah niitä vaštah. Še ei kuitenki ole tämän muailmanajan viisahutta eikä niijen viisahutta, ket ollah vallašša tänä muailmanaikana. Hiän ošana on häviemini. | 6We speak wisdom, however, among those who are full grown, yet a wisdom not of this world nor of the rulers of this world who are coming to nothing. |
| 7Myö šanelemma Jumalan peitošša piettyö viisahutta, šitä viisahutta, min Jumala jo ennein aikojen alkuo varušti meilä jumalallisekši valokši. | 7But we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, the wisdom that has been hidden, which God foreordained before the worlds for our glory, |
| 8Šiitä viisahuošta ei ole piäššyn perillä yksikänä tämän muailmanajan vallaššaolijista. Kun hyö ois šiitä tiijetty, niin ei ois jumalallisen valon Isäntyä ristihnuaklittu. | 8which none of the rulers of this world has known. For had they known it, they wouldn’t have crucified the Lord of glory. |
| 9On niin kuin Pyhissä Kirjutukšissa šanotah: – Mitä šilmä ei ole nähnyn, korva ei ole kuullun, mitä ihmisellä mieleh ei voinun juolahtua, šen Jumala on varuštan niillä, ket Häntä tykätäh. | 9But as it is written, “Things which an eye didn’t see, and an ear didn’t hear, which didn’t enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him.” |
| 10Ka meilä Jumala ilmotti nämä as's'at omalla Henkelläh. Henkihän tiijuštau kaiken, Jumalan šyvyötki. | 10But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God. |
| 11Ken muu kuin ihmisen oma henki tietäy, mitä ihmiseššä on? Šamoin vain Jumalan Henki tietäy, mitä Jumalašša on. | 11For who among men knows the things of a man, except the spirit of the man, which is in him? Even so, no one knows the things of God, except God’s Spirit. |
| 12No myö emmä šuanun tämän muailman henkie, vain šaima Jumalalta Henken šitä vaššen, jotta malttasima, mitä Hiän on antan meilä lahjakši. | 12But we received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is from God, that we might know the things that were freely given to us by God. |
| 13Näistä as's'oista myö niise pakajamma, ka emmä ihmisviisahuon opaštamilla šanoilla vain Pyhän Henken opaštamilla. Myö šelitämmä henkelliset as's'at Henken avulla. | 13We also speak these things, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches, but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual things. |
| 14Ihmisen mieli ei voi ottua vaštah šitä, mitä Jumalan Henki pakajau, šentäh kun häneštä še on höperryštä. Hiän ei malta šitä, šentäh kun šiitä voit piäššä perillä vain Henken avulla. | 14Now the natural man doesn’t receive the things of God’s Spirit, for they are foolishness to him, and he can’t know them, because they are spiritually discerned. |
| 15Henkellini ihmini voit piäššä perillä kaikešta, vain häneštä ičeštäh kenkänä ei piäše perillä. | 15But he who is spiritual discerns all things, and he himself is judged by no one. |
| 16 – Ken tietäy Hospotin mielen, niin jotta vois neuvuo Häntä? Ka meilä še on Hristossan mieli. | 16“For who has known the mind of the Lord, that he should instruct him?” But we have Christ’s mind. |
