EZMÄINE KIRJEINE KORINFALAIŽILE | 1 Corinthians |
Chapter 13 | Chapter 13 |
| 1Hot' minä pagižižin mehiden da angeloiden kelil, no ku minai ei oliži armastust, ka oližin kuti heläidai vask vai judaidai vändim. | 1If I speak with the languages of men and of angels, but don’t have love, I have become sounding brass, or a clanging cymbal. |
| 2I hot' minai oliži sanankandajan lahj, i hot' tedaižin kaik peitazjad i kaiken tedon, i hot' minai oliži kaik uskond i voižin sirtta mägid, no ku minai ei oliži armastust, ka minai ei oliži nimittušt arvod. | 2If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but don’t have love, I am nothing. |
| 3I hot' jagaižin kaiken kodielon gollile i andaižin poltta ičtain lämoiš, no ku minai ei oliži armastust, ka siš-ki ei oliži minei nimittušt ližad. | 3If I give away all my goods to feed the poor, and if I give my body to be burned, but don’t have love, it profits me nothing. |
| 4Armastuz om tirpai, armastuz om sula. Armastuz ei kadehti, ei kitte, ei ülendelde, | 4Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, |
| 5ei vedä ičtaze pahoin, ei eci ičeleze hüväd, ei abittu, ei mušta ičeleze tehtud pahad, | 5doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; |
| 6ei ihastu värhudehe, a om hüviš meliš, konz vägestab tozi. | 6doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; |
| 7Se kaiken katab, kaikes uskob, kaiken nadeiše, kaiken tirpab. | 7bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things. |
| 8Armastuz nikonz ei kado. No Jumalan vestiden sanelend lopiše, tundmatomil kelil pagižend hilleneb, i tedo lopiše. | 8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will be done away with. Where there are various languages, they will cease. Where there is knowledge, it will be done away with. |
| 9Ved' kaik meiden tedod oma vajagad dai Jumalan vestid-ki sanelem vajagas, | 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part; |
| 10no konz tuleb se, mi om täuz', siloi vajaguz' kadob. | 10but when that which is complete has come, then that which is partial will be done away with. |
| 11Konz olin lapsen, ka pagižin-ki kut laps', minai oli lapsen mel' i lapsen el'genduz. No nügüd' ku olen mužikvoziš, olen tacnu kaiken, mi om lapsespäi. | 11When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I felt as a child, I thought as a child. Now that I have become a man, I have put away childish things. |
| 12Nügüd' nägem, kuti pimedas st'oklas läbi, vaiše ozaiten, no edeleze nägeškandem sil'm sil'mha. Nügüd' minun tedo om völ vajag, no siloi tedaškanden kaiken, muga kut minun-ki polhe tetas kaiken. | 12For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I will know fully, even as I was also fully known. |
| 13A nügüd' oma ned koume: uskond, nadei, armastuz. No suremb kaikid om armastuz. | 13But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love. |
