| 1Farisejiden sebras oli mez', kudamb kuctihe Nikodimaks, üks' evrejalaižiden pämehišpäi. | 1Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. |

| 12Ku olen sanunu teile necen mirun azjoiš, a tö et uskkoi, ka kut voit uskta, ku pagižeškanden teile taivhaližiš azjoiš? | 12 If I told you earthly things and you don’t believe, how will you believe if I tell you heavenly things? |

This, my joy, therefore is made full. |
| 30Hänele tarbiž tehtas surembaks, i minei penembaks. | 30He must increase, but I must decrease. |

Hän, ken tuleb taivhaspäi, om kaikid korktemb i | 31He who comes from above is above all. He who is from the earth belongs to the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. |
| 32todištab sidä, midä om nähnu i kulnu, no niken ei ota hänen todištust südäimehe. | 32What he has seen and heard, of that he testifies; and no one receives his witness. |
