| 1Эста синь сембе стясть и сявозь Сонь Пилатонди. | 1The whole company of them rose up and brought him before Pilate. |
| 2Тоса ушедсть муворгофнемонза Сонь, и мярьгсть: «Минь няеськ, Сон тапарякшнесы минь ломаньтналоньконь, карнесыне пандомс кесарти каяфкс, лемнесы Эсь прянц Христоскс, Оцязоркс». | 2They began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man perverting the nation, forbidding paying taxes to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king.” |
| 3Пилат кизефтезе Иисусонь: «Тон еврейхнень Оцязорснат?» Сон каршезонза мярьгсь: «Тя тон тяфта корхтат». | 3Pilate asked him, “Are you the King of the Jews?” He answered him, “So you say.” |
| 4Пилат мярьгсь озксвятиень оцюнятненди и пуромфненди: «Мон аф мушендан кодамовок муворши тя ломаньца». | 4Pilate said to the chief priests and the multitudes, “I find no basis for a charge against this man.” |
| 5Но синь кемоста ащесть эсь валснон лангса, и корхтасть: «Сон Эсь тонафтомасонза кашангофнесыне ломаттнень марнек Иудеяса, Галилеяста сявомок тяза самс». | 5But they insisted, saying, “He stirs up the people, teaching throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee even to this place.” |
| 6Пилат, Галилеять колга кулемста, кизефтсь: «Тя Ломанць Галилеянь эряй?» | 6But when Pilate heard Galilee mentioned, he asked if the man was a Galilean. |
| 7Мзярда содазе, Сон Иродонь аймакста, кучезе Иисусонь Иродонди, кона ся шитнень ульсь Иерусалимса. | 7When he found out that he was in Herod’s jurisdiction, he sent him to Herod, who was also in Jerusalem during those days. |
| 8Ирод, Иисусонь няемста, пяк кенярдсь. Сонь кунаркиге мялецоль няемс Иисусонь, сяс мес лама кулендсь колганза и надиясь няемс Сонь эздонза мееньге дивань тев. | 8Now when Herod saw Jesus, he was exceedingly glad, for he had wanted to see him for a long time, because he had heard many things about him. He hoped to see some miracle done by him. |

| 11Эста Ирод эсь ушманонзон мархта наругась и пеедсь Иисусонь лангса, а сяльде щафтозе козя щамса и кучезе меки Пилатонди. | 11Herod with his soldiers humiliated him and mocked him. Dressing him in luxurious clothing, they sent him back to Pilate. |
| 12Ся шиня Пилатонь мархта Ирод тиевсть ялгакс, а тяда инголе синь ашесть ладя фкя-фкянь мархта. | 12Herod and Pilate became friends with each other that very day, for before that they were enemies with each other. |
| 13Пилат серьгядезень озксвятиень оцюнятнень, Израилень лия оцюнятнень и ломаньтналть, | 13Pilate called together the chief priests, the rulers, and the people, |
| 14мярьгсь тейст: «Тинь вятесть тейне тя ломанть, кода ломанень кашангофтыень; и вов мон пингстонт кизефнине Сонь и ашине му мезьсонга шумукс, мезьса тинь муворгофнесасть. | 14and said to them, “You brought this man to me as one that perverts the people, and behold, having examined him before you, I found no basis for a charge against this man concerning those things of which you accuse him. |
| 15Иродга ашезь му эсонза муворши, сясы меки кучезе Сонь тяза. Тя ломанць ашезь тие мезевок стама, мезенкса максоволь куломати. | 15Neither has Herod, for I sent you to him, and see, nothing worthy of death has been done by him. |
| 16Сяс пиксфтомда меле нолдаса». | 16I will therefore chastise him and release him.” |
| 17А Пилатонди самай эрявсь эрь Очижиня нолнемс фкя ломань пякстафнень ёткста. | 17Now he had to release one prisoner to them at the feast. |
| 18Но сембе ломаттне ушедсть юватькшнема: «Кулома Тейнза! Нолдак тейнек Вараввань!» | 18But they all cried out together, saying, “Away with this man! Release to us Barabbas!”— |
| 19Варавва пякстафоль ошса оцюнятнень каршес кеподеманкса и ломанень шавоманкса. | 19one who was thrown into prison for a certain revolt in the city, and for murder. |
| 20Пилат тага корхтазевсь мархтост, сяс мес ёразе нолдамс Иисусонь. | 20Then Pilate spoke to them again, wanting to release Jesus, |
| 21Но сят каршезонза ювадсть: «Эськодемс! Эськодемс крёзти!» | 21but they shouted, saying, “Crucify! Crucify him!” |
| 22Пилат колмоцеда пшкядсь тейст: «Мезень кальдяв Сон тись? Мон мезевок ашень му эсонза, мезенкса эряволь шавомс; пиксфтомда меле нолдаса». | 22He said to them the third time, “Why? What evil has this man done? I have found no capital crime in him. I will therefore chastise him and release him.” |
| 23Синь стаки вярьгак вайгяльхть пешкоткшнезь, анасть эськодемс Иисусонь крёзти.Синь и озксвятиень оцюнятнень юватькшнемасна сявозь вярть. | 23But they were urgent with loud voices, asking that he might be crucified. Their voices and the voices of the chief priests prevailed. |
| 24И Пилат тиезе сянь, мезе синь вешсть. | 24Pilate decreed that what they asked for should be done. |
| 25Сон нолдазе алять, кона пякстафоль оцюнятнень каршес кеподеманкса и ломанень шавоманкса – сянь, конань аназь; а Иисусонь максозе тейст шавомс, кода синь ёрасть. | 25He released him who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, for whom they asked, but he delivered Jesus up to their will. |
| 26Мзярда Иисусонь вятезь эськодемс, мельганза крёзть кандома кошардозь Киринеяста Симононь, кона ся пингть мрдаль паксяста. | 26When they led him away, they grabbed one Simon of Cyrene, coming from the country, and laid on him the cross, to carry it after Jesus. |
| 27Иисусонь мельге мольсь ламодонга лама ломань, ётксост ульсть аватка, конат авардсть и явсесть инксонза. | 27A great multitude of the people followed him, including women who also mourned and lamented him. |
| 28Иисус шарфтсь тейст, мярьгсь: «Иерусалимонь стирьхть, тяда аварде инксон, авардеда эсь инксонт и идентень инкса; | 28But Jesus, turning to them, said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, don’t weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. |
| 29сяс мес сайхть шит, мзярда мярьгихть: "Павазуфт аф шачфтовихне и сят, конат нинге ашесть шачфне, и мяштьса аф потяфтыхне!" | 29 For behold, the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.’ |
| 30Эста ушедыхть корхтама панттненди: "Прада лангозонк!", губорхненди: "Вельхтямасть минь!" | 30 Then they will begin to tell the mountains, ‘Fall on us!’ and tell the hills, ‘Cover us.’ |

| 32Иисусонь мархта вятсть куломас нинге кафта алят, зиянонь тиихть. | 32There were also others, two criminals, led with him to be put to death. |

| 34Иисус корхтась: «Аляй! Нолдайть пежеснон, сяс мес синь аф содасазь, мезе тиихть». Ушматтне, жерьбань ёрдазь, явозь Иисусонь щамонзон. | 34Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they don’t know what they are doing.” Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots. |
| 35Ломаттне ащесть и ванцть. Оцюнятневок ванцть мархтост и марса рахсесть лангсонза, корхтасть: «Лиятнень идекшнезень, идезазе Эсь прянцка, кда Сон Христоссь, Шкаень кочкафсь!» | 35The people stood watching. The rulers with them also scoffed at him, saying, “He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the Christ of God, his chosen one!” |
| 36Ушматтневок наругасть лангсонза, нежетькшнесть Тейнза и макссесть Тейнза шапама вина, | 36The soldiers also mocked him, coming to him and offering him vinegar, |
| 37корхтасть: «Кда Тон еврейхнень Оцязорснат, идек пряцень!» | 37and saying, “If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!” |
| 38Иисусонь вельхксса сёрматфоль греконь, римонь и евреень кяльса: «Тя Еврейхнень Оцязорсна». | 38An inscription was also written over him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: “THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS.” |
| 39Фкя эськотьф зиянонь тиись кяжиста пеедезь пялендезе валса: «Кда Тон Христоссят, идек Эсь пряцень и миньге идемасть!» | 39One of the criminals who was hanged insulted him, saying, “If you are the Christ, save yourself and us!” |
| 40Но омбоцесь карнезе сонь, корхтась: «Кали тон Шкайдонга аф пелят, вдь тонцьке судендафат тяконди? | 40But the other answered, and rebuking him said, “Don’t you even fear God, seeing you are under the same condemnation? |
| 41Минь судендафтама видешис коре, эсь тевоньконь инкса сатоськ тянь, а Сон мезеньге кальдяв ашезь тие». | 41And we indeed justly, for we receive the due reward for our deeds, but this man has done nothing wrong.” |
| 42Сон мярьгсь Иисусонди: «Иисус, лятфтамак, мзярда саят Оцязорксшизт!» | 42He said to Jesus, “Lord, remember me when you come into your Kingdom.” |
| 43Иисус мярьгсь тейнза: «Видеста корхтан тейть, тячиёк улят мархтон райса». | 43Jesus said to him, “Assuredly I tell you, today you will be with me in Paradise.” |
| 44Пингсь ульсь котоце частть маласа, мзярда апак учт марнек модать комачазе шобдась и тяфта ульсь вейхксоце частти молемс. | 44It was now about the sixth hour, and darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour. |
| 45Шись кяшевсь, и Шкаень кудса котфонь перяфкссь сязевсь кучкава кафтова. | 45The sun was darkened, and the veil of the temple was torn in two. |
| 46Иисус вярьгак вайгяльхть ювадсь: «Аляй! Тонь кядезт максса ваймозень!» Ня валхнень азомда меле ваймоц лиссь. | 46Jesus, crying with a loud voice, said, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” Having said this, he breathed his last. |
| 47Сядонь оцюнясь тянь няемста, Шкаень шназь, мярьгсь: «Афкукс тя ломанць ульсь видексшинь ломань!» | 47When the centurion saw what was done, he glorified God, saying, “Certainly this was a righteous man.” |
| 48Сембе ломаттне, конат пуромсть тянь ванома, мзярда няезь, мезе лиссь, ризфть эзда эрьхнезь эсь мяштьснон и тушендсть тоста. | 48All the multitudes that came together to see this, when they saw the things that were done, returned home beating their breasts. |
| 49Но сембе сят, кит содазь Иисусонь, ащесть ширеняса и ванцть, ётксостольхть аватневок, конат састь Сонь мархтонза Галилеяста. | 49All his acquaintances and the women who followed with him from Galilee stood at a distance, watching these things. |
| 50Фкя ломанць, лемоцоль Иосиф, сувсесь Оцю пуромксть лувксс. Сон ульсь пара вайме и видексшинь ломань, | 50Behold, a man named Joseph, who was a member of the council, a good and righteous man |
| 51и каршеколь сянди, мезе арьсесь и тись Оцю пуромкссь. Шачемас коре Иосиф ульсь Аримафеяста, евреень ошста, и Сон учендозе Шкаень Оцязорксшить саманц. | 51(he had not consented to their counsel and deed), from Arimathaea, a city of the Jews, who was also waiting for God’s Kingdom: |
| 52Иосиф мольсь Пилатонди и эняльдсь максомс Иисусонь ловажанц. | 52this man went to Pilate, and asked for Jesus’ body. |
| 53Сон валхтозе крёз лангста ловажать, ашкодозе иляназонь котфс и путозе калмос, кона карафоль кевбандс, коса нинге кивок ашель калмаф. | 53He took it down, and wrapped it in a linen cloth, and laid him in a tomb that was cut in stone, where no one had ever been laid. |
| 54Тя ульсь пяденцяста, ваймамань шинди аноклама шиня. | 54It was the day of the Preparation, and the Sabbath was drawing near. |
| 55Аватне, конат састь Иисусонь мархта Галилеяста, мольсть Иосифонь мельге, няезь калмоть и кода путфоль эзонза ловажась. | 55The women, who had come with him out of Galilee, followed after, and saw the tomb, and how his body was laid. |
| 56Куду мрдамста синь анокласть танцти шине вадендемат и шуфта вай. Ваймамань шить синь ётафтозь ваймосезь, кода кошардсь койсь. | 56They returned and prepared spices and ointments. On the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment. |
