| 1Ся пингть Ирод*а, Галилеянь оцюнясь, марясь Иисусть колга | 1At that time, Herod the tetrarch heard the report concerning Jesus, |
| 2и мярьгсь эсь ломанензонды: «Тя Иоанн Кстиндайсь. Сон вельмась кулофнень эзда, тяста виецка ули тиендемс тяфтама дивань тефт». | 2and said to his servants, “This is John the Baptizer. He is risen from the dead. That is why these powers work in him.” |
| 3Ирод тяфта корхтась, сяс мес сон фатязе Иоаннонь, сотнезе цинзерса и озафтозе пякстамгуду. Тянь сон тиезе Филипп брадонц ингольдень рьванц, Иродиадань инкса, | 3For Herod had arrested John, and bound him, and put him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife. |
| 4сяс мес Иоанн корхнесь Иродонди: «Койс коре тейть аш кода сявомс сонь рьвакс». | 4For John said to him, “It is not lawful for you to have her.” |
| 5Ирод ёразе шавомс сонь, аньцек пельсь ломаттнень эзда, сяс мес синь лувондозь Иоаннонь прорококс. | 5When he would have put him to death, he feared the multitude, because they counted him as a prophet. |
| 6Иродонь шачемшинц иласта Иродиадань стирец кштись инжихнень инголе и тусь Иродонь мяльс, | 6But when Herod’s birthday came, the daughter of Herodias danced among them and pleased Herod. |
| 7сяс сон варась тейнза максомс сянь, мезе афоль ана. | 7Whereupon he promised with an oath to give her whatever she should ask. |
| 8Стирсь, тядянц мяленц коряс, пшкядсь: «Макск тейне тяниёк лапш шава лангса Иоанн Кстиндайть прянц». | 8She, being prompted by her mother, said, “Give me here on a platter the head of John the Baptizer.” |
| 9Ирод оцязорсь ризназевсь, но сяс мес инжихнень инголе макссь вал, сон мярьгсь пяшкодемс стирть мяленц. | 9The king was grieved, but for the sake of his oaths, and of those who sat at the table with him, he commanded it to be given, |
| 10Ирод кучсь пякстамгуду ломань Иоаннонь прянц керома. | 10and he sent and beheaded John in the prison. |
| 11Кандозь сонь прянц лапш шава лангса и максозь стирти, а ся кандозе эсь тядянцты. | 11His head was brought on a platter, and given to the young lady; and she brought it to her mother. |
| 12Иоаннонь тонафниенза састь, сявозь сонь ронгонц и калмазь; а меле тусть и тянь колга азондсть Иисусти. | 12His disciples came, and took the body, and buried it. Then they went and told Jesus. |
| 13Мзярда Иисус кулезе тянь, Сон тусь тоста венчса ськамонза шава вастс. Тянь колга марясть ломаттне, лиссть ошстост и тусть мельганза ялга. | 13Now when Jesus heard this, he withdrew from there in a boat, to a deserted place apart. When the multitudes heard it, they followed him on foot from the cities. |
| 14Иисус лиссь ведть трвас и няйсь лама ломань. Синь ужялькс арасть Тейнза, и Сон пчкафтозень ёткстост сярядихнень. | 14Jesus went out, and he saw a great multitude. He had compassion on them, and healed their sick. |
| 15Мзярда сась илядьсь, Тейнза маладсть тонафниенза и мярьгсть: «Вастсь тяса шава и пингське ни лама. Нолдайть ломаттнень, катк туйхть маластонь велева и рамайхть эстейст ярхцамбяль». | 15When evening had come, his disciples came to him, saying, “This place is deserted, and the hour is already late. Send the multitudes away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves food.” |
| 16Но Иисус мярьгсь тейст: «Тейст аф эряви тумс, тинь максода тейст ярхцамс». | 16But Jesus said to them, “They don’t need to go away. You give them something to eat.” |
| 17Синь корхтайхть Тейнза: «Минь тяса мезеньковок аш, аньцек вете кшиньке и кафта калоньке». | 17They told him, “We only have here five loaves and two fish.” |
| 18Сон мярьгсь: «Кандость синь Тейне». | 18He said, “Bring them here to me.” |
| 19Иисус мярьгсь ломаттненди озсемс тишеть лангс. Сон сявозень вете кшитнень и кафта калхнень, варжаксть менели, и бславазень синь. Сон синнезень и максозень тонафниензонды, а тонафниенза – ломаттненди. | 19He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass; and he took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, broke and gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples gave to the multitudes. |
| 20Ярхцасть сембе и топодсть. И нинге лятф сускомда кочкасть кемгафтува пяшксе кептерь, | 20They all ate, and were filled. They took up twelve baskets full of that which remained left over from the broken pieces. |
| 21а ярхцайда ульсь, авада и шабада башка, ветешка тёжянь ломань. | 21Those who ate were about five thousand men, in addition to women and children. |
| 22Тяда меле Иисус эстокиге мярьгсь тонафниензонды озамс венчти и ётамс эрьхкть омба трвас, и аф учсемс, мзярда Сон нолдасыне ломаттнень. | 22Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat, and to go ahead of him to the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. |
| 23Ломаттнень нолдамдост меле, Иисус куцсь панда лангс, мялецоль ськамонза озондомс. И шобдать самс ляткшнесь тоса ськамонза. | 23After he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into the mountain by himself to pray. When evening had come, he was there alone. |
| 24А венчсь ульсь ни ичкозе эрьхке трвать эзда, ведькомболксне шавсть эзонза, сяс мес каршезост уфась варма. | 24But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, distressed by the waves, for the wind was contrary. |
| 25Варьхмодемшовор Иисус тусь тонафниензонды ведть ланга молезь. | 25In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus came to them, walking on the sea. |
| 26Тонафниенза няезь, кода Сон моли ведть ланга, и эводемать эзда ювадсть: «Тя шопача*б!» | 26When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It’s a ghost!” and they cried out for fear. |
| 27Иисус эстокиге мярьгсь тейст: «Тяда пеле, тя Монан». | 27But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.” |
| 28Пётр каршезонза корхтай: «Азор! Кда тя Тон, мярьк тейне самс Тейть ведть ланга». | 28Peter answered him and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters.” |
| 29Иисус мярьгсь: «Сак». Пётр кадозе венчть и ведть ланга тусь Иисусонь шири. | 29He said, “Come!” Peter stepped down from the boat, and walked on the waters to come to Jesus. |
| 30Но кодак марязе вармать виенц, эводсь, кармась ваяма и ювадсь: «Азор! Идемак!» | 30But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” |
| 31Иисус эстокиге венептезе кяденц, фатязе сонь и мярьгсь тейнза: «Вай, конашкава ёмла кемамаце! Мес тон юмафнесак кемамать?» | 31Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” |
| 32Мзярда синь озасть венчти, вармась лоткась. | 32When they got up into the boat, the wind ceased. |
| 33Венчса улихне прасть Иисусть пильгс и мярьгсть: «Афкукс, Тон Шкайть Цёрацат». | 33Those who were in the boat came and worshiped him, saying, “You are truly the Son of God!” |
| 34Синь ётасть эрьхкть омба трвас и пачкодсть Геннисаретонь мастору. | 34When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret. |
| 35Мзярда тостонь эряйхне содазь Иисусонь, синь срафтозь кулять сембе вастова и вятезь Тейнза сембе сярядихнень. | 35When the people of that place recognized him, they sent into all that surrounding region, and brought to him all who were sick; |
| 36Синь эняльдсть Тейнза максомс сярядихненди токамс хуш щам пенянцты. И сембе, конат токафнезь кядьснон, пчксесть. | 36and they begged him that they might just touch the fringe of his garment. As many as touched it were made whole. |
