Chapter 2

Chapter 2

1Ga sit sinägi, poigani, sua vägie Hristosan Iisusan hüvüös.1You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2I kai, midä kuulit minuspäi äijien rahvahien aigua, sanele ielleh suremattomile ristikanzoile, kudamat voijah opastua muidu.2The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same things to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.
3Ota sinägi oma vuitti vaivois, kui Hristosan Iisusan puoleh putin toruaju.3You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
4Nimittuine toruaju ei sivo iččie elaijan jogapäiväzih dieloloih, gu tahtonou olla mieldü müö omale piälliköle.4No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.
5Ei ni borčuiččii sua voittajan venkua, gu ei borčuinne zakonoi müö.5Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he isn’t crowned unless he has competed by the rules.
6Muanruadajal, kudai ruadau higi očas, pidäü enzimäzennü suaja oma oza pellon uudizes.6The farmer who labors must be the first to get a share of the crops.
7Duumaiče, midä sanoin! Taivahalline Ižändü andau sinule ellendüstü kaikkeh.7Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.
8Musta Iisussua Hristossua, Davidan jälgipolvie, kudai nostatettih kuollielois, kui on opastettu minun saneltus jevangelies.8Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, of the offspring of David, according to my Good News,
9Sen jevangelien täh minä näin vaivua da olen čieppilöis gu pahanruadai, no Jumalan sana ei ole čieppilöis.9in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God’s word isn’t chained.
10Sikse minä kestän kai Jumalan vallittuloin täh, gu hüögi suadas piäzendü, kudaman andau Hristos Iisus, da sen piäzendänke suadas ilmanigäine kunnivo.10Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones’ sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
11Uskottavu on sana:
Gu müö kuolimmo Hänenke,
sit Hänenke i elämmö,
11This saying is trustworthy: “For if we died with him, we will also live with him.
12gu kestämmö,
rubiemmo pidämäh valdua Hänenke.
Gu kieldävümmö Hänes,
Häi kieldävüü meis.
12If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us.
13Gu müö emmo olle suremattomat,
Häi on surematoi,
eihäi Häi voi mennä iččiedäh vastah.
13If we are faithless, he remains faithful; for he can’t deny himself.”
14Tädä juohtuttele kaikile da sano heile vagavah Jumalan ies, gu ei riijeltäs sanoin täh. Sit ei tule nimidä hüviä, a se roih kuulijoile pahakse.14Remind them of these things, charging them in the sight of the Lord, that they don’t argue about words, to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear.
15Pane kai väit sih, gu ozuttua iččie Jumalan ies moizennu ruadajannu, kudamah voibi uskuo, kudai ei huijustelei omua ruaduo da kudai hüvin opastau toven sanua.15Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth.
16Vältelei jumalattomis da tühjänpäiväzis paginois, sendäh gu niilöin pagizijat mennäh jumalattomuos ainos vai loitomba.16But shun empty chatter, for it will go further in ungodliness,
17Heijän opastandat levitäh gu ruakku rungas. Heijän joukos ollah Imenei da Filit,17and those words will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus:
18kudamat hairottih toves, gu sanotah, buite kuollieloisnouzendu jo oli. Nenga hüö murendetah erähien uskon alustan.18men who have erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past, and overthrowing the faith of some.
19No Jumalan pandu luja alustu seizou, i sih alustah on kirjutettu nämä sanat: «Ižändü tundou omii» da «Kiännükkäh iäre viärüös jogahine, ken mainiččou Ižändän nimie.»19However God’s firm foundation stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.”
20Suures talois on ei vai kuldastu da hobjastu ast'ettu, a on puus dai saves luajittuu. Üksii pietäh parembinnu, a toizii - prostoloinnu.20Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some are for honor, and some for dishonor.
21Ken puhtastau iččie kaikis niilöis pahuzis, häi roih gu parembi ast'e, pühä da ižändäle pädii, valmis kaikenjüttümäh hüväh ruadoh.21If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, and suitable for the master’s use, prepared for every good work.
22Sikse pagene nuoren ijän himolois, da eči oigiedu elaigua, uskuo, suvaičustu da rauhua ühtes niilöinke, kudamat puhtahas südämes kučutah abuh Ižändiä.22Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23Älä seguo hajuttomih da tühjih kiistoih. Iče tiijät, net tuvvah riidua.23But refuse foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing that they generate strife.
24Ižändän ruadajal ei sua riijellä, hänel pidäü olla hüväsanazennu kaikkienke, maltua opastua da kestiä kai tuskevumattah.24The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle toward all, able to teach, patient,
25Hänel pidäü hüväl sanal kohendua vastustajii. Toinah Jumal andau heile mielenmuutoksen i hüö tiijustetah tozi.25in gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,
26Sit hüö tostetahes da piästäh pahalazen verkolois, kudamih häi heidü tabai iččeh tahtuo täüttämäh.26and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to his will.
