Chapter 5

Chapter 5

Älä kovah čakkua vahnua miestü, a kehitä händü gu omua tuattua, nuorembii miehii kehitä gu omii vellii,1Don’t rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers;
vahnoi naizii - gu omua muamua, nuorembii naizii kehitä gu sizärii, puhtahal mielel kaikes.
the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, in all purity.
Pie huoldu ihan üksinäh jiännüzis leskis.3Honor widows who are widows indeed.
No gu leskel ollou lastu libo vunukkua, anna enzimäi hüö opastutah luadimah omale perehele sidä, midä uskojil pidäü luadie, da maksamah vahnembien vaivois. Se on Jumalale mieldü müö.4But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety toward their own family and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
Üksin jiännüh putin leski nad'eičeh Jumalah, pokoroičeh da molihes heittelemättäh üöt dai päivät.5Now she who is a widow indeed and desolate, has her hope set on God, and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.
A leski, kudai eläü magiedu elaigua, on jo hengis olles kuolluh.6But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she lives.
Anna heile nämä käsküt, gu elettäs moittimattominnu.7Also command these things, that they may be without reproach.
No ken ei pie huoldu omahizis da semmite omas perehes, se on hüllännüh uskon da on pahembi ihan uskomattomua.8But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.
Leskien luguh pidäü ottua vai moine leskinaine, kudai on jo täüttänüh kuuzikümmen vuottu, kudai on olluh ühten ukon akannu,9Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man,
kudamua tundietah hüvis ruadolois, sit gu kazvatti lapsii, vastai hüvin matkalazii, pezi jumalanuskojien jalgoi, avvutti niilöi, kel oli jügei, da ruadoi äijän muudu hüviä.10being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.
Nuorembii leskii älä ota luguh. Konzu havačutah heijän rungan himot, hüö vieravutah Hristosas da ruvetah tahtomah miehele.11But refuse younger widows, for when they have grown wanton against Christ, they desire to marry,
Muga hüö roijah viärät, gu hüllättih se, midä enzimäi uskaldettih Jumalale.12having condemnation, because they have rejected their first pledge.
Sen piäle hüö harjavutah kävelemäh talois taloih da roijah laškoikse, da ei vai laškoikse, a vie ruvetah kandelemah kielii, seguomah toizien dieloloih da pagizemah mostu, midä ei suas paista.13Besides, they also learn to be idle, going about from house to house. Not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.
Sikse tahton, gu nuoret lesket mendäs miehele, suadas lastu da kačottas kodii i ei annettas vastustajile valdua paista meis pahua.14I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, and give no occasion to the adversary for insulting.
Erähät, kačo, jo kiännüttih kuundelemah sattanua.15For already some have turned away after Satan.
Gu keltahto uskojis naizis ollou omahizien keskes leskinaizii, anna häi pidäü huoldu heis. Heijän täh ei pie vaivata uskojien kanzukundua. Anna kanzukundu pidäü huoldu ihan üksinäzikse jiännüzis leskis.
If any man or woman who believes has widows, let them relieve them, and don’t let the assembly be burdened, that it might relieve those who are widows indeed.
Vahnimile, kudamat hüvin vietäh uskojien kanzukundua, maksau andua kunnivo dai hüvä palku, semmite niilöile, kudamat ruatah jügiedü ruaduo, gu sanellah jevangeliedu da opastetah.17Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.
Onhäi sanottu Pühis Kirjutuksis: «Älä sivo puimas olijal häkil suudu» da «Ruadai on lunnastannuh palkan.»18For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.” And, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.”
Älä kuundele, konzu mistahto viäritetäh vahnimua, gu ei olle kahtu libo kolmie tovestajua.19Don’t receive an accusation against an elder, except at the word of two or three witnesses.
Riähkänluadijoi n'evvo kaikkien ies, gu muutgi varattas.20Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.
Jumalan, Hristosan Iisusan da vallittuloin anheliloin ies vagavah käsken sinule noudua nämii n'evvondoi, ei ühtüö ni ühteh ni toizeh, eigo puolistua sidä, kedä käsköü sinun mieli.21I command you in the sight of God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.
Älä huolita panna käzii nikenen piäle, gu ottua händü Jumalan ruadoh, älä seguo toizien riähkih. Pie iččie puhtahannu.22Lay hands hastily on no one. Don’t be a participant in other people’s sins. Keep yourself pure.
Iellehpäi älä juo vai ühtü vettü, a ota vähäine viinua vačan täh da puaksuh olijoin vaivoin täh.23Be no longer a drinker of water only, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities.
Erähien riähkät ollah nägevis i vietäh heidü suudoh kerras, a toizien riähkät avavutah müöhembi.24Some men’s sins are evident, preceding them to judgment, and some also follow later.
Muga i erähät hüvät ruavot ollah nägevis, a toizet ei olla nägevis, no netgi ei voija püzüö peitos.25In the same way also there are good works that are obvious, and those that are otherwise can’t be hidden.
