Chapter 2

Chapter 2

Sih aigah keisari Augustu andoi käskün panna kaikkien rahvahien nimet kirjoile kaikes muas.1Now in those days, a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be enrolled.
Tämä oli enzimäine rahvahan kirjoilepanendu, i se oli sih aigah, konzu Siiries muaherrannu oli Kvirinii.2This was the first enrollment made when Quirinius was governor of Syria.
Kaikin mendih kirjoilepandavakse, jogahine omah rodulinnah.3All went to enroll themselves, everyone to his own city.
Lähti Josifgi Galileispäi, Nazarietan linnaspäi da meni Juudieh, Davidan linnah Viflejemah, ku häi oli Davidan roduu.4Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to David’s city, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David;
Häi lähti sinne ühtes Marijanke, kudai oli uskaldettu hänele mučoikse. Marija oli kohtuine.5to enroll himself with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him as wife, being pregnant.
Konzu hüö jo oldih Viflejemas, Marijale tuldih suanduaijat,6While they were there, the day had come for her to give birth.
i häi sai poijan, enzimäzen lapsen. Häi kabaloičči lapsen da pani žiivatoin soimeh, ku heile ei olluh sijua matkuniekoin talois.7She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him in bands of cloth, and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no room for them in the inn.
Sil peräl oldih niitül paimoit vardoiččemas üöl lammaskarjua.8There were shepherds in the same country staying in the field, and keeping watch by night over their flock.
Heijän edeh jiäviihes Taivahallizen Ižändän anheli, i Ižändän taivahalline valgei rodih heis ümbäri. Paimoit pöllästüttih äijäl,9Behold, an angel of the Lord stood by them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified.
no anheli sanoi heile: «Älgiä varakkua! Minä toin teile iloviestin: kaikile rahvahile roih suuri ihastus.10The angel said to them, “Don’t be afraid, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be to all the people.
Tänäpäi Davidan linnas rodiihes teile Piästäi. Häi on Messii, Ižändü.11For there is born to you today, in David’s city, a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Tämä on teile sen merkinnü: tüö lövvättö lapsen, kudai kabaloitunnu viruu soimes.»12This is the sign to you: you will find a baby wrapped in strips of cloth, lying in a feeding trough.”
Sil sanal anhelis ümbäri seizoi suuri joukko taivahallistu saldattua. Hüö kiitettih Jumalua sanoil:13Suddenly, there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly army praising God, and saying,

– Kunnivo Jumalale ülimäzes taivahas,
i mual rauhus rahvahile,
kudamii Häi suvaiččou.
“Glory to God in the highest, on earth peace, good will toward men.”
Konzu anhelit mendih järilleh taivahah, paimoit sanottih toine toizele: «Läkkiä Viflejemah! Sie müö näimmö sen, midä rodiihes, sen, min Ižändü andoi meile tiediä.»15When the angels went away from them into the sky, the shepherds said to one another, “Let’s go to Bethlehem, now, and see this thing that has happened, which the Lord has made known to us.”
Hüö kiirehel lähtiettih i löüttih Marija, Josif da lapsi, kudai virui soimes.16They came with haste, and found both Mary and Joseph, and the baby was lying in the feeding trough.
Heijän nähtüü paimoit ruvettih sanelemah, midä heile oli sanottu lapseh näh.17When they saw it, they publicized widely the saying which was spoken to them about this child.
Kaikin, ket kuultih paimoloin sanat, diivuittihes.18All who heard it wondered at the things which were spoken to them by the shepherds.
A Marija peitti südämeh kai, midä oli roinnuh, da ainos duumaičči sidä.19But Mary kept all these sayings, pondering them in her heart.
Paimoit lähtiettih järilleh, kiitettih da suuril sanoil ülendettih Jumalua kaikes, midä oli kuultu da nähtü. I kai oli ihan muga, kui heile oli sanottu.
The shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, just as it was told them.
Kaheksanden päivän tulduu, konzu lapsele pidi luadie ümbärileikkavus, Hänele annettih nimi Iisus, kui i oli sanonuh anheli jo enne Marijan kohtustundua.21When eight days were fulfilled for the circumcision of the child, his name was called Jesus, which was given by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
A ku tuli se päivü, konzu Moisein Zakonua müöte heil pidi puhtastuo, hüö lähtiettih Jerusalimah, ku tuvva lapsi Ižändän edeh,22When the days of their purification according to the law of Moses were fulfilled, they brought him up to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord
juuri muga kui Ižändän Zakonas on kirjutettu: «Joga brihaččulapsi, kudai enzimäzennü tulou muaman kohtuspäi, pidäü jiäksie Ižändäle.»23(as it is written in the law of the Lord, “Every male who opens the womb shall be called holy to the Lord”),
Vie heil pidi tuvva Jumalale Ižändän Zakonan mugahine lahju: «kaksi meččüküühköidü libo küühköinpoigastu».
and to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, “A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.”
Sih aigah Jerusalimas eli üksi mies, kudaman nimi oli Simeonu. Häi oli oigieh eläjü da Jumalua varuaju ristikanzu, kudai vuotti Izrail'ale uskaldettuu urostustu, i Pühä Hengi oli hänen piäl.25Behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was on him.
Pühä Hengi oli jo ielpäi sanonuh Simeonale: surmu ei ota händü, kuni häi ei nähne Ižändän tüöttüü Messiedü.26It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.
Hengen käsküs häi meni jumalankodih. Konzu Iisusan vahnembat tuodih lapsi sinne, ku luadie se, mi Zakonua müö pidi luadie,27He came in the Spirit into the temple. When the parents brought in the child, Jesus, that they might do concerning him according to the custom of the law,
häi otti lapsen käzivarrele, kiitti Jumalua da sanoi:28then he received him into his arms, and blessed God, and said,

– Kaikenvaldaine, nügöi Sinä annat omale käsküläzele
lähtie rauhas, muga kui uskaldit.
“Now you are releasing your servant, Master, according to your word, in peace;
Minun silmät nähtih Piästäjiä,
for my eyes have seen your salvation,
kudamua Sinä annoit kaikile rahvahile,
which you have prepared before the face of all peoples;
valgiedu, kudai nouzou muailman rahvahile
da tuou kunnivuo Sinun rahvahale, Izrail'ale.
a light for revelation to the nations, and the glory of your people Israel.”
Iisusan tuattah da muamah diivuittihes, midä oli sanottu lapseh näh.33Joseph and his mother were marveling at the things which were spoken concerning him,
Simeonu blahoslovii heidü da sanoi Marijale, lapsen muamale: «Tälle lapsele on lepittü tulla muailmah, ku äijät Izrail'as langettas da äijät nostas. Händü on luajittu Jumalan tiähtekse, kudamah näh kiistetäh.34and Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary, his mother, “Behold, this child is set for the falling and the rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which is spoken against.
– Dai sinun südämes läbi, Marija, menöü miekku. Nenga tullah nägevih äijien südämeh peitetüt mielet.»35Yes, a sword will pierce through your own soul, that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.”
Sie vie oli naispuoline Jumalan iänenkandai Anna, Ašeran heimokundah kuulujan Fanuilan tütär. Häi oli jo ülen vahnu. Nuorennu n'eičoinnu miehele mendüü häi eli ukkohke seiččie vuottu,36There was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher (she was of a great age, having lived with a husband seven years from her virginity,
a nügöi oli leskennü, i oli kaheksankümmenen n'ellän vuvven igähine. Häi ei lähtenüh jumalankoispäi nikunne, a sluužii Jumalale üöt dai päivät pühittäjen da malittuu pannen.37and she had been a widow for about eighty-four years), who didn’t depart from the temple, worshiping with fastings and petitions night and day.
Parahite sil aigua häi tuli sinne, i kiitti Jumalua da pagizi lapseh näh kaikile, ket vuotettih Jerusaliman vällälepiäzendiä.38Coming up at that very hour, she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke of him to all those who were looking for redemption in Jerusalem.
Konzu Josif da Marija luajittih kai, mi Ižändän Zakonua müö oli luajittavu, hüö tuldih järilleh Galilein muah omah Nazarietan linnah.39When they had accomplished all things that were according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city, Nazareth.
Lapsi kazvoi, vadrastui da suitti mieldü, i Jumalan hüvüs oli Hänen piäl.
The child was growing, and was becoming strong in spirit, being filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon him.
Iisusan vahnembat käüdih joga vuottu Jerusalimah Äijänpäivän pruazniekale.41His parents went every year to Jerusalem at the feast of the Passover.
Konzu Iisusale täüdüi kaksitostu vuottu, hüö tuaste, kui ainos pruazniekkoin aigua, matkattih sinne.42When he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem according to the custom of the feast,
Pruazniekkoin loppuhuu hüö lähtiettih kodimatkale, a Iisus jäi vahnembien tiedämättäh Jerusalimah.43and when they had fulfilled the days, as they were returning, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem. Joseph and his mother didn’t know it,
Hüö smietittih, poigu on toizien matkalazien joukos, i astuttih kaiken päivän, vaste sit ruvettih küzelemäh Händü omien da tuttavien keskes.44but supposing him to be in the company, they went a day’s journey, and they looked for him among their relatives and acquaintances.
No ku hüö ei löüttü poigua, kiännüttih järilleh Jerusalimah eččimäh Händü.45When they didn’t find him, they returned to Jerusalem, looking for him.
Kolmen päivän peräs hüö löüttih Iisus jumalankois. Brihaččuine istui opastajien keskes, kuundeli da küzeli.46After three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the middle of the teachers, both listening to them, and asking them questions.
Kaikin, ket kuunneltih Händü, diivuittihes, kui hüvin Häi ellendäü da kui hüvin Häi vastuau.47All who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers.
Poijan nähtüü muamah da tuattah ei tiijettü, midä sanuo. Sit muamah sanoi: «Poigani, miksebo luajiit meile nengoman? Müö tuattaske süväintuskis ečiimmö sinuu.»48When they saw him, they were astonished, and his mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us this way? Behold, your father and I were anxiously looking for you.”
Iisus sanoi heile: «Miksebo tüö minuu ečiittö? Ettogo tiedänüh, minul pidäü olla oman Tuatan talois?»49He said to them, “Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?”
No muamah da tuattah ei ellendettü, midä Häi tahtoi sil sanuo.50They didn’t understand the saying which he spoke to them.
Iisus lähti vahnembienke kodimatkale da tuli Nazarietan linnah. Häi iellehgi kuundeli heidü. Muamah peitti omah südämeh kai, midä oli olluh poijanke.51And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth. He was subject to them, and his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.
Iisus kazvoi, Hänele suitui igiä da mieldü. Jumal da rahvas suvaittih Händü.
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
