Chapter 8

Niilöih aigoih kerävüi müös äijü rahvastu ühteh kohtah. I ku heil ei olluh süömistü, Iisus kučui opastujat da sanoi heile:1In those days, when there was a very great multitude, and they had nothing to eat, Jesus called his disciples to himself, and said to them,
«Minul on žiäli nämii rahvahii. Hüö ollah minun luo jo kolme päiviä, a heil ei ole midä süvvä.2 “I have compassion on the multitude, because they have stayed with me now three days, and have nothing to eat.
Ku minä tüöndänen heidü n'älgähizinnü kodih, hüö vaivutah matkal. Erähät heis tuldih loittonpäi.»3 If I send them away fasting to their home, they will faint on the way, for some of them have come a long way.”
Opastujat sanottih Hänele: «Kenbo da kuspäi täs elämättömäs kohtas voibi suaja leibiä kaikile süödäväkse?»4His disciples answered him, “From where could one satisfy these people with bread here in a deserted place?”
«Äijügo leibiä teil on?» küzüi Iisus. Hüö vastattih: «Seiččie.»5He asked them, “How many loaves do you have?” They said, “Seven.”
Iisus käski rahvahale istuokseh muale. Sit Häi otti net seiččie leibiä, kiitti Jumalua, lohkai net leivät da andoi opastujile, ku hüö juattas net rahvahale. Opastujat ruattih muga.6He commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground, and he took the seven loaves. Having given thanks, he broke them, and gave them to his disciples to serve, and they served the multitude.
Heil oli vie kalaine-toine. Iisus kiitti Jumalua kalois i käski jagua netgi.7They had a few small fish. Having blessed them, he said to serve these also.
Rahvas süödih külläl, i jiännüttü palua kerättih seiččie viršii.8They ate, and were filled. They took up seven baskets of broken pieces that were left over.
Süöjii oli läs n'elliätuhattu.Sit Iisus piästi rahvahan lähtemäh,9Those who had eaten were about four thousand. Then he sent them away.
a iče kerras nouzi veneheh opastujienke i meni Dalmanutan lohkole.
Immediately he entered into the boat with his disciples, and came into the region of Dalmanutha.
Fariseit tuldih da ruvettih kiistämäh Iisusanke. Hüö tahtottih oppie Iisusan mielii da prižmittih Hänes tunnusmerkii taivahaspäi.11The Pharisees came out and began to question him, seeking from him a sign from heaven, and testing him.
Iisus hengähtih süväh da sanoi: «Miksebo tämä rahvaspolvi prižmiü tunnusmerkii? Toven sanon teile: tälle polvele ei anneta tunnusmerkii.»12He sighed deeply in his spirit, and said, “Why does this generation seek a sign? Most certainly I tell you, no sign will be given to this generation.”
Häi jätti heidü, astui müös veneheh da lähti vasturannale.
He left them, and again entering into the boat, departed to the other side.
Opastujat unohtettih ottua leibiä kerale. Heil oli vai üksi ainavo leibü venehes.14They forgot to take bread; and they didn’t have more than one loaf in the boat with them.
Iisus sanoi heile vagavah: «Olgua varuksis! Vardoikkuattokseh fariseiloin muijotestu da Irodan muijotestu.»15He warned them, saying, “Take heed: beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and the yeast of Herod.”
Opastujat sanottih toine toizele: «Müöhäi emmo ottanuh leibiä!»16They reasoned with one another, saying, “It’s because we have no bread.”
Iisus dogadii sen da sanoi: «Mindäh tüö pagizetto vai sidä, ku teil ei ole leibiä? Ettogo vie ellendä, ettogo vie piässüh perile? Ongo teijän süväin sogei?17Jesus, perceiving it, said to them, “Why do you reason that it’s because you have no bread? Don’t you perceive yet, neither understand? Is your heart still hardened?
Ku teil on silmät, ga miksebo etto näi? Ku teil on korvat, ga miksebo etto kuule? Ettogo musta:18 Having eyes, don’t you see? Having ears, don’t you hear? Don’t you remember?
konzu lohkain net viizi leibiä viijeletuhandele, äijängo täüttü viršii palastu tüö keräittö?» «Kaksitostu», sanottih hüö vastah.19 When I broke the five loaves among the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” They told him, “Twelve.”
«A konzu javoin seiččie leibiä n'elläletuhandele? Äijängo täüttü viršii tüö keräittö palazii?» Hüö vastattih: «Seiččie.»20 “When the seven loaves fed the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you take up?” They told him, “Seven.”
Iisus sanoi: «Ettogo ni vie ellendä?»
He asked them, “Don’t you understand yet?”
Hüö tuldih Vifsaidah. Iisusan luo tuodih sogei mies da pokoroittihes, ku Iisus koskettas händü.22He came to Bethsaida. They brought a blind man to him, and begged him to touch him.
Häi otti sogiedu käis i vietti küläspäi iäre. Sit sülgi sogiele silmih, pani käit hänen piäle i küzüi: «Näitgo midä?»23He took hold of the blind man by the hand, and brought him out of the village. When he had spat on his eyes, and laid his hands on him, he asked him if he saw anything.
Mies nosti silmät üläh da sanoi: «Minä näin rahvahii, hüö ollah kui puut, no vai kävelläh.»24He looked up, and said, “I see men; for I see them like trees walking.”
Iisus uvvessah pani käit miehen silmile, i mies kačoi tarkazeh. Häi oli parandunnuh da nägi kai selgiesti.25Then again he laid his hands on his eyes. He looked intently, and was restored, and saw everyone clearly.
Iisus käski hänele mennä kodih i sanoi: «Älä mene järilleh sih küläh.»
He sent him away to his house, saying, “Don’t enter into the village, nor tell anyone in the village.”
Iisus da Hänen opastujat lähtiettih Hilipän Kesarien külih. Matkal Häi küzüi opastujil: «Kenennübo minuu pietäh rahvas?»27Jesus went out, with his disciples, into the villages of Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked his disciples, “Who do men say that I am?”
Hüö vastattih: «Üksien mieles Sinä olet Iivan Ristii, a toizien – Il'l'u, a erähien mieles olet üksi Jumalan iänenkandajis.»28They told him, “John the Baptizer, and others say Elijah, but others: one of the prophets.”
«A tüö kui duumaičetto?» küzüi Iisus. «Ken minä olen teijän mieles?» Pedri vastai Hänele: «Sinä olet Messii.»29He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered, “You are the Christ.”
Iisus kieldi heidü sanelemas kelletahto Häneh niškoi.
He commanded them that they should tell no one about him.
Sit Iisus algoi sellittiä opastujile, mi äijü gor'ua pidäü tirpua Ristikanzan Poijal. Rahvahan vahnimat, ülimäzet papit da zakonanopastajat hüllätäh Händü. Händü tapetah, no kolmen päivän peräs Häi nouzou kuollielois.31He began to teach them that the Son of Man must suffer many things, and be rejected by the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes, and be killed, and after three days rise again.
Häi pagizi täh näh ihan kohti. Sit Pedri otti Händü bokkah i rubei ebiämäh Händü.32He spoke to them openly. Peter took him, and began to rebuke him.
No Iisus kiändüi, kačahtih opastujih i sanoi kovah Pedrile: «Mene iäre minus, sattan! Sinul ei olla Jumalan mielet, a ollah ristikanzoin mielet!»
But he, turning around, and seeing his disciples, rebuked Peter, and said, “Get behind me, Satan! For you have in mind not the things of God, but the things of men.”
Iisus kučui rahvasjoukon da omat opastujat i sanoi heile: «Ken ku tahtonou astuo minule jälles, häi kieldävükkäh omas ičes, otakkah oman ristan da astukkah minule peräh.34He called the multitude to himself with his disciples, and said to them, “Whoever wants to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Kačo, ku ken rippunou omas henges, se menettäü sen, a ken menetännöü oman hengen minun täh da jevangelien täh, se suau sen.35 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.
Midäbo hüviä on ristikanzale, ku häi suannou kaiken muailman, a hengen menetännöü?36 For what does it profit a man, to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life?
Ongo olemas moine hindu, kudamah ristikanzu vois lunnastua oman hengen?37 For what will a man give in exchange for his life?
Ken ku huijustannehes minuu da minun sanoi tämän riähkähizen rahvaspolven keskes, kudai on hüllännüh Jumalan, sidä Ristikanzan Poigugi huijustahes, konzu Häi tulou Tuatan taivahallizes väis da valgies pühien anheliloinke.»38 For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man also will be ashamed of him, when he comes in his Father’s glory, with the holy angels.”
