| 1Mie, kumpani olen Hospotin takie tyrmäššä, molin teitä: eläkkyä, niin kuin Jumalan kuččumien ihmisien pitäy elyä. | 1I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called, |
| 2Olkua nöyrät, hyväšanaset ta käršivälliset. Tykkyämini auttakkah teitä šietämäh toini toista. | 2with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love, |
| 3Pyhä Henki on luatin tiät yhekši, ka niin reistakkua kaikin voimin pisyöki yheššä; ta šäilyttäkkyä rauha, še niät šitou tiät toini toiseh. | 3being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. |
| 4On vain yksi runko ta yksi Henki, niin kuin še toivoki, mih tiät on kučuttu, on yksi. | 4There is one body and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling, |
| 5 On vain yksi Hospoti, yksi uško, yksi kaššanta! | 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism, |
| 6Yksi on Jumala, kaikkien Tuatto! Hiän halliččou kaikkie, ruatau kaikešša ta on meissä kaikissa. | 6one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all, and in us all. |
| 7Jokahini meistä on šuanun oman henkellisen lahjan, šen min Hristossa kaččo hyväkši antua. | 7But to each one of us, the grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Christ. |
| 8Šiih nähen Pyhissä Kirjutukšissa on šanottu: – Hiän nousi ylähyäkši, otti tyrmäššä olijat omakši voittošualehekši, Hiän anto lahjoja ihmisillä. | 8Therefore he says, “When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to people.” |
| 9Eikö tämä «Hiän nousi ylähyäkši» merkiče, jotta šitä ennein Hiän oli šolahtan alahuakši, ihan muan alimpaisih paikkoih? | 9Now this, “He ascended”, what is it but that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth? |
| 10Juuri Hiän, kumpani šolahti alahuakši, nousi kaikkie taivahie ylemmäkši, jotta täyttyä taivahat ta mua omalla olollah. | 10He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things. |
| 11Hiän pani yhet meistä uškojakuntah apostoliloiksi, toiset Jumalan viessintuojiksi ta Hyvän Viessin šanelijiksi, šamoin paimeniksi ta opaštajiksi, | 11He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers; |
| 12jotta eväštyä kaikki uškojat jumalanruatoh, Hristossan runkon rakentamiseh. | 12for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ, |
| 13Šilloin myö kaikin piäšemmä yhteh ta šamah uškoh ta opaššumma tuntomah Jumalan Pojan. Meistä tulou ušošša täyši-ikäsie, šemmosie, mimmoni Hristossa oli. | 13until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, |
| 14Šilloin myö enämpi emmä ole lapšie, kumpasie kaikenmoiset opaššukšet häilytetäh puoleh toiseh ta kumpasie ounahat ta valehtelijat ihmiset muanitetah viärällä tiellä. | 14that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error; |
| 15Myö elämmä tosišanoman mukah ta tykkyämmä toini toista. Myö kašvamma kaikešša kiini Hristossah, Häneh, kumpani on uškojakunnan piä. | 15but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ, |
| 16Hiän yhistäy koko runkon ta kaikkien nivelien avulla pitäy šitä tukušša. Kun jokahini runkon oša ruatau omua ruatuo, niin koko runko kašvau ta rakentuu tykkyämiseššä. | 16from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in love. |
| 17Šentäh mie varotan teitä ta molin Hospotin nimeššä: elkyä enämpi eläkkyä niin kuin toisenvieroset! Hiän tuumat ollah tyhjänpäiväsie. | 17This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind, |
| 18Hiän järki on hämärtyn ta še elämä, min Jumala antau, on heilä vieraš, šentäh kun hyö ollah vailla tietuo ta hiän šytämet ollah kiven kovat. | 18being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their hearts. |
| 19Ta kun hyö enämpi ei tunneta mitänä huikieta, niin ruvettih elämäh šiivottomašti, niin jotta yhtänä ei pijätellä omie pakanoja himoja. | 19They, having become callous, gave themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness. |
| 20Eihän teilä ole Hristossašta tämmöistä opaššettu, | 20But you didn’t learn Christ that way, |
| 21kun toven lienettä Häneštä kuullun ta kun teilä ollou opaššettu tosišanoma Iisussašta. | 21if indeed you heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus: |
| 22Šen opaššukšen mukah tiän pitäy heittyä pois entini elämäntapa ta riähkähini luonto, kumpaista muanittajat himot rikotah. | 22that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit, |
| 23Tiän pitäy uuvvistuo mieleltä ta henkeltä. | 23and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, |
| 24Tiän pitäy šuoriutuo uuteh ihmiseh, kumpani on luajittu šemmosekši kuin Jumala tahtou. Tiän pitäy elyä pyhyä elämyä, oikeuven ta tosišanoman mukah. | 24and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth. |
| 25Niin jotta jättäkkyä valehtelu ta paiskua toini toisella totta, šentäh kun myö olemma šaman runkon ošie. | 25Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another. |
| 26Kun šiännyttä, varokkua, jotta että riähkäyvy. Luatikkua šopu, ennein kuin päiväni laškou. | 26“Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath, |
| 27Elkyä antakkua juavelin piäššä tiän välih. | 27and don’t give place to the devil. |
| 28Varaš elkäh enämpi varaštakkah, vain parempi ruvekkah ruatamah ta omin käsin tienakkah šikäli, jotta ois mistä antua hiäššä olijalla niise. | 28Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, producing with his hands something that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need. |
| 29Elkyä piäštäkkyä šuuštana mitänä šopimatointa. Paiskua šitä, mi on hyvä ta mi lujittau uškuo, jotta tiän šanoista ois hyötyö ta iluo kuulijilla. | 29Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear. |
| 30Elkyä šatattakkua Jumalan Pyhyä Henkie. Niätšen šini, kuni Jumala ei tullun käymäh omieh, Pyhä Henki on teissä merkkinä šiitä, jotta työ kuulutta Jumalalla. | 30Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. |
| 31Jättäkkyä kaikki karkiet mielet, šiäntymini ta viha, riitely, toini toisen noitumini ta niijen kera kaikki muut pahat tavat. | 31Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. |
| 32Olkua toini toisella hyväšanasie ta leppeitä, prostikkua toini toista, niin kuin Jumalaki on prostin teitä Hristossan tähen. | 32And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. |
