| 1Eikö miula ole omua valtua? Enkö mie ole apostoli? Enkö ole nähnyn Iisussua Hristossua, miän Hospotie? Eikö še ole miun työn tuloš, jotta työ rupesija uškomah Hospotih? | 1Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Haven’t I seen Jesus Christ, our Lord? Aren’t you my work in the Lord? |
| 2Kun muut ei piettäne milma apostolina, tiän apostoli mie ainaški olen. Työ iče oletta tovissuš šiitä, jotta mie olen Hospotin apostoli. | 2If to others I am not an apostle, yet at least I am to you; for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord. |
| 3Niijen ieššä, ket milma suutitah, mie puolistauvun näin: | 3My defense to those who examine me is this: |
| 4Eikö meilä ois valtua šyyvvä ta juuvva? | 4Have we no right to eat and to drink? |
| 5Eikö meilä ois valtua ottua matkah omua naista, uškočikkuo, niin kuin ruatah muut apostolit, Hospotin vellet ta Kifa? | 5Have we no right to take along a wife who is a believer, even as the rest of the apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas? |
| 6Olemmako mie ta Varnava ainuot, kenen pitäy omilla käsillä tienata elätyš? | 6Or have only Barnabas and I no right to not work? |
| 7Onko šemmoista saltattua, ken sluušiu omilla rahoilla? Issuttaisko ken viinasatun ta ei šöis šen marjoja? Ta eikö še, ken paimentau lampahie ta kosie, juo niijen maituo? | 7What soldier ever serves at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard, and doesn’t eat of its fruit? Or who feeds a flock, and doesn’t drink from the flock’s milk? |
| 8En täššä pakaja yksistäh šitä, mitä ihmiset ajatellah näistä as's'oista, vet Sakona niise šanou šamua. | 8Do I speak these things according to the ways of men? Or doesn’t the law also say the same thing? |
| 9Onhan Moissein Sakonašša šanottu: «Elä šivo kiini puimašša olijan härän šuuta». Häristäköš Jumala täššä huolehtiu? | 9For it is written in the law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it for the oxen that God cares, |
| 10Eiköš Hiän šano tätä meitä varoin? Tietyšti! Meitä varoinhan on kirjutettu: «Kyntäjän pitäy kyntyä ta puijan puija šiinä toivošša, jotta šuau pellon tulošta oman ošan». | 10or does he say it assuredly for our sake? Yes, it was written for our sake, because he who plows ought to plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should partake of his hope. |
| 11No kun myö kylvimä teih henkellisen kylvön, niin oisko še liijan äijän, još leikkuasima teiltä muallista eluo? | 11If we sowed to you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we reap your fleshly things? |
| 12Kun muilla ollou valta šuaha teiltä mitänih, eikö meilä ole vielä šuurempi valta? Kuitenki myö emmä ole käyttän tätä valtua. Keššämmä mitä vain, jotta emmä šuinki ois haittana Hristossan Hyvän Viessin leviemisellä. | 12If others partake of this right over you, don’t we yet more? Nevertheless we didn’t use this right, but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the Good News of Christ. |
| 13Ettäkö tiijä, jotta jumalankojissa ruatajat papit šuahah šieltä oma ruoka? Ta ne, ket ruatah uhrialttarin luona, šuahah alttarilla pannuista uhriloista oman ošan? | 13Don’t you know that those who serve around sacred things eat from the things of the temple, and those who wait on the altar have their portion with the altar? |
| 14Šamoin Hospoti käški, jotta ken Hyvyä Viestie šanelou, šen on šuatava piänelätyš šiitä ruavošta. | 14Even so the Lord ordained that those who proclaim the Good News should live from the Good News. |
| 15Ka mie en ole käyttän hyväkšeni tätä valtua. Enkä kirjuta tätä šitä vaššen, jotta vuatisin tämmöistä ičelläni. Mie ennein kuolisin! Täštä olen ylpie, eikä kenkänä voi kiskuo miulta šitä, mistä olen ylpie. | 15But I have used none of these things, and I don’t write these things that it may be done so in my case; for I would rather die, than that anyone should make my boasting void. |
| 16Šiinä, jotta šanelen Hyvyä Viestie, miula ei ole mitänä ylpeilömistä. Miun on pakko niin ruatua. Paha miut perikkäh, kun en Hyvyä Viestie šanelle! | 16For if I preach the Good News, I have nothing to boast about; for necessity is laid on me; but woe is to me if I don’t preach the Good News. |
| 17Kun mie šanelisin šitä omašta tahošta, niin voisin vuatie palkkua. A kun kerran en šanele šitä omašta tahošta, niin mie vain ruan šitä työtä, mi miula annettih. | 17For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward. But if not of my own will, I have a stewardship entrusted to me. |
| 18Mipä šilloin on miun palkka? Še, jotta šanelen Hyvyä Viestie Hristossašta ilmain palkkua, enkä käytä hyväkšeni šitä valtua, min miula antau tämä työ. | 18What then is my reward? That when I preach the Good News, I may present the Good News of Christ without charge, so as not to abuse my authority in the Good News. |
| 19Miula on oma valta, en ole kenenkänä orja. Olen kuitenki ruvennun kaikkien orjakši, jotta voittasin Hristossalla niin äijän ihmisie kuin šuinki voin. | 19For though I was free from all, I brought myself under bondage to all, that I might gain the more. |
| 20Jotta šaisin Hristossan omiksi jevreilöitä, elin hiän kera ollešša kuin jevrei. Jotta šaisin Hänen omiksi Sakonan mukah eläjie, mieki olin kuin Sakonan mukah eläjä. | 20To the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain those who are under the law; |
| 21Jotta šaisin Hänen omiksi Sakonatta eläjie, heijän joukošša elin niin kuin miula niise ei ois Sakonua. Vaikka en mie tietyšti ilmain Jumalan sakonua ole – onhan miula Hristossan sakona. | 21to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward Christ), that I might win those who are without law. |
| 22Jotta šaisin heikkoja Hristossan puolella, olin hiän kera kuin iče niise oisin heikko. Kaikilla mie olen ollun kaikkena, jotta voisin pelaštua hoti muutomie. | 22To the weak I became as weak, that I might gain the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some. |
| 23Tämän mie ruan Hyvän Viessin tähen, jotta ičeki šaisin šiitä tulijan plahoslovenjan. | 23Now I do this for the sake of the Good News, that I may be a joint partaker of it. |
| 24Työ vet tiijättä, jotta kaikki kilpailušša juoksijat juoššah, a vain yksi šuau palkinnon. Šentäh juoškua niin, jotta šaisija šen! | 24Don’t you know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run like that, that you may win. |
| 25Kaikki kilpailijat pietäh iččieh lujašša kurissa, juoksijat šitä vaššen, jotta voittua venčča. A še venčča ruttoh kuivau. Myö piemmä iččienä lujašša kurissa, kun tahomma voittua ikuhisen venčan. | 25Every man who strives in the games exercises self-control in all things. Now they do it to receive a corruptible crown, but we an incorruptible. |
| 26Šentäh mie en juokše tyhjäh, enkä nyrkkeilleššä piekšä ilmua. | 26I therefore run like that, not aimlessly. I fight like that, not beating the air, |
| 27Mie pien oman runkon kurissa ta pakotan šen tottelomah, jotta toisilla Hyvyä Viestie šanellešša milma iččieni ei hylättäis. | 27but I beat my body and bring it into submission, lest by any means, after I have preached to others, I myself should be rejected. |
