| 1Noih aikoih muan nellännekšen herra Iiroti*a kuuli pakinoja Iisussašta. | 1At that time, Herod the tetrarch heard the report concerning Jesus, |
| 2Hiän šano omilla käškyläisillä: «Še on Iivana Kaštaja. Hiän on nouššun kuollehista, šentäh Hänellä ollah nämä voimat.» | 2and said to his servants, “This is John the Baptizer. He is risen from the dead. That is why these powers work in him.” |
| 3Iiroti niät oli käšken ottua Iivanan kiini, panna hänet rautoih ta viijä tyrmäh. Tämän hiän oli ruatan Hilippä-velleh naisen Irodiadan tähen. | 3For Herod had arrested John, and bound him, and put him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife. |

| 16Iisussa šano heilä: «Ei heijän tarviče männä. Antakkua työ heilä ruokua.» | 16But Jesus said to them, “They don’t need to go away. You give them something to eat.” |
| 17«Meilä ei ole keralla muuta kuin viisi leipyä ta kakši kalua», hyö vaššattih. | 17They told him, “We only have here five loaves and two fish.” |
| 18«Tuokua ne tänne Miula», šano Iisussa. | 18He said, “Bring them here to me.” |

Hiän katkuali leivät ta anto palat opaššettavilla, ta opaššettavat juattih ne rahvahalla. | 19He commanded the multitudes to sit down on the grass; and he took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, broke and gave the loaves to the disciples, and the disciples gave to the multitudes. |
| 20Kaikin šyötih kyllitellein, ta šyömättä jiänehie paloja kerättih kakšitoista täyttä vakkua. | 20They all ate, and were filled. They took up twelve baskets full of that which remained left over from the broken pieces. |
| 21Šyömäššä oli viitisentuhatta mieštä ta lisäkši naisie ta lapšie. | 21Those who ate were about five thousand men, in addition to women and children. |
| 22Rutto šen jälkeh Iisussa käški opaššettavien aštuo veneheh ta lähtie toisella rannalla, kuni Hiän toimittau rahvašjoukon pois. | 22Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat, and to go ahead of him to the other side, while he sent the multitudes away. |
| 23Rahvahan lähettyö Hiän nousi vuaralla, jotta vois moliutuo yksinäh. Konša tuli ilta, Hiän oli šielä yksin. | 23After he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into the mountain by himself to pray. When evening had come, he was there alone. |

| 26Konša opaššettavat nähtih Hänet järvie pitin aštumašša, hyö pöläššyttih ta karjeuvuttih: «Tuo on kuutessiutuja!» | 26When the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, “It’s a ghost!” and they cried out for fear. |
| 27No šamašša Iisussa rupesi pakajamah heilä ta šano: «Olkua rauhašša. Mie še täššä olen. Elkyä varakkua.» | 27But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.” |
| 28Šiitä Petri šano hänellä: «Hospoti, kun še ollet Šie, niin käše miun tulla Šiun luo vettä myöte». | 28Peter answered him and said, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the waters.” |
| 29«Tule!» šano Iisussa. Petri šolahti veneheštä ta läksi vettä myöte Iisussah päin. | 29He said, “Come!” Peter stepped down from the boat, and walked on the waters to come to Jesus. |
| 30Vain kun hiän näki, mitein lujašti tuuli, hiän pöläšty ta alko upota. Šiitä hiän karjeutu: «Hospoti, pelašša miut!» | 30But when he saw that the wind was strong, he was afraid, and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, “Lord, save me!” |
| 31Iisussa šamašša ojenti kiän, tarttu häneh ta šano: «Vähäuškoni! Mintäh šie rupesit epyälömäh?» | 31Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and said to him, “You of little faith, why did you doubt?” |
| 32Konša hyö nouštih veneheh, tuuli vakautu. | 32When they got up into the boat, the wind ceased. |
| 33Kaikin, ket oltih veneheššä, kumarrettih Hänellä ta šanottih: «Šie tosieh olet Jumalan Poika». | 33Those who were in the boat came and worshiped him, saying, “You are truly the Son of God!” |
| 34Järven poikki piäštyö hyö tultih Gennisaretin muah. | 34When they had crossed over, they came to the land of Gennesaret. |
| 35Kun šen šeuvun ihmiset tunnettih Iisussa, hyö työnnettih šana joka šuunnalla, ta Hänen luo tuotih kaikki läsijät. | 35When the people of that place recognized him, they sent into all that surrounding region, and brought to him all who were sick; |
