Chapter 2

Chapter 2

1Ka sinä-ki, poigaižem, amunda väged Hristosan Iisusan armoišpäi!1You therefore, my child, be strengthened in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2Kaik, midä oled kulnu täs minuspäi äjiden todištajiden aigan, sanele edemba heile, kenele voib uskta i ked mahtaba opeta toižid-ki.2The things which you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit the same things to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.
3Tirpa sinä-ki mokid, kut Iisusan Hristosan todesine saldat.3You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ Jesus.
4Nimitte saldat ei tartu elon jogapäiväižihe azjoihe, ku tahtoib olda mel'he ičeze pämehele.4No soldier on duty entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.
5Mugažo sportmez' ei voi sada vägestusen vencad, ku ei tege kaiked sportkäsköiden mödhe.5Also, if anyone competes in athletics, he isn’t crowned unless he has competed by the rules.
6Manradajale-ki, kudamb radab higo ocas, pidaiži ezmäižen sada ičeze pala villäspäi.6The farmer who labors must be the first to get a share of the crops.
7El'genda, midä minä sanun! Antkaha Ižand sinei el'gendust kaikehe.7Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.
8Mušta Ižandad Iisusad Hristosad Davidan semnespäi: hän om eläbzoittud kollijoišpäi, miš minä sanelen-ki hüväd vestid.8Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead, of the offspring of David, according to my Good News,
9Sen vestin täht minä mokičemoi, olen völ čapiš-ki kuti razbainik. No Jumalan sana ei ole čapiš.9in which I suffer hardship to the point of chains as a criminal. But God’s word isn’t chained.
10Sikš minä tirpan kaiked Jumalan valitud mehiden täht, miše hö-ki saižiba päzutandan, kudamban andab Hristos Iisus, i ühtes necenke igähižen korktan arvon.10Therefore I endure all things for the chosen ones’ sake, that they also may obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
11Nenile sanoile voib uskta tozi-ki:
— Ku mö kolim hänenke ühtes,
ka hänenke ühtes eläškandem-ki.
11This saying is trustworthy: “For if we died with him, we will also live with him.
12Ku hänenke ühtes tirpam,
ka linnem hänenke ühtes valdas-ki.
Ku mö käraudamoiš hänehe sel'gin,
ka hän-ki käraudase meihe sel'gäl.
12If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he also will deny us.
13No hot' mö em olgoi uskoližed,
ka hän om uskoline —
ved' hän ei voi mända ičtaze vasthapäi.
13If we are faithless, he remains faithful; for he can’t deny himself.”
14Johtuta kaikile neciš i käske heid Ižandan edes, miše ei ridliži sanoiden polhe. Sišpäi ei tule nimidä hüväd, a se tob kulijoile vaiše pahad.14Remind them of these things, charging them in the sight of the Lord, that they don’t argue about words, to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear.
15Pane kaik vägi sihe, miše ozutadas Jumalan edes mugoižen radnikan, kenele voiži uskta, i ken ei huiktelde ičeze radod da ken opendab toden sanan mödhe.15Give diligence to present yourself approved by God, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed, properly handling the Word of Truth.
16Čurate jumalatomid da tühjid paginoid, sikš ku necen pagižijad sirdäsoiš Jumalaspäi kaiken edemba i edemba.16But shun empty chatter, for it will go further in ungodliness,
17Heiden opendused levineba kuti tartläžundad. Heiden sebras oma Imenei da Filit.17and those words will consume like gangrene, of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus:
18Hö oma segoinuded i kadotanuded toden, ku sanuba, miše eläbzoituz om jo tehnus. Muga hö murendaba erasil uskondan alandused.18men who have erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection is already past, and overthrowing the faith of some.
19No Jumalal tehtud alanduz püžub vahvas, i sihe om kirjutadud nene sanad: «Ižand tundeb ičeze rahvahan» i «Kaikutte, kenel Ižandan nimi om huliš, olgha laptas kaikes pahaspäi».19However God’s firm foundation stands, having this seal, “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness.”
20Sures pertiš om astijoid ei vaiše kuldaspäi da hobedaspäi, a tehtud puspäi da savespäi. Toižid pidetas praznikan aigan, toižid muupäivän.20Now in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of clay. Some are for honor, and some for dishonor.
21I ku ken puhtastab ičtaze kaikes pahaspäi, hän tegese kuti praznikastii, pühä da ižandale tarbhaine, kožui kaikuččehe hüvähä radho.21If anyone therefore purges himself from these, he will be a vessel for honor, sanctified, and suitable for the master’s use, prepared for every good work.
22Sikš pagene noren igän himoišpäi da eci oiktad elod, uskondad, armastust da kožmust kaikidenke, ked puhthas südäimespäi kucuba abuhu Ižandad.22Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23Ala tartu nimiččihe tühjiže i meletomihe paginoihe. Iče tedad, miše ned toba ridoid.23But refuse foolish and ignorant questionings, knowing that they generate strife.
24Ižandan radnikale pidab olda hüvätabaižen kaikidenke, mahtta opeta i tirpta.24The Lord’s servant must not quarrel, but be gentle toward all, able to teach, patient,
25Hänele pidab laskvas škol'da vastustajid. Voib olda, Jumal abutab heile kärautas grähkišpäi, i hö tedištaba, mi om tozi.25in gentleness correcting those who oppose him: perhaps God may give them repentance leading to a full knowledge of the truth,
26Sid' hö il'mestuba i pageneba lemboin verkoišpäi, kudambihe se om tabadanu heid, miše käskta ičeze tahtoid täutmaha.
26and they may recover themselves out of the devil’s snare, having been taken captive by him to his will.
