EZMÄINE KIRJEINE TIMOFEJALE | 1 Timothy |
Chapter 5 | Chapter 5 |
| 1Ala buraida vanhan mehen päle, a nevo hänele kut ičeiž tatale, norembile mehile nevo, kut ičeiž vellile, | 1Don’t rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers; |
| 2vanhoile naižile, kut ičeiž mamale, norembile naižile nevo kut sizarile, puhthal melel kaikes. | 2the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, in all purity. |
| 3Pidä korktas arvos i holdu üksin jänuziš leskiakoiš. | 3Honor widows who are widows indeed. |
| 4A ku leskiakal om lapsid vai vunukoid, ka ezmäi kaiked heile pidab opetas tehta sidä, midä uskojile tarbiž tehta, da maksta vanhembiden holiš. Se om Jumalan melen mödhe. | 4But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety toward their own family and to repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God. |
| 5Üksnäze jänu leskiak paneb ičeze nadejad Jumalaha, pakičeb da loičeb hänele öd da päiväd. | 5Now she who is a widow indeed and desolate, has her hope set on God, and continues in petitions and prayers night and day. |
| 6A leskiak, kudamb eläb magedad elod, om jo kolnu, hot' om hengiš. | 6But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she lives. |
| 7Anda heile nene käsköd, miše hö eläižiba elod, kudambas heid ei voiži laida. | 7Also command these things, that they may be without reproach. |
| 8No ken ei pidä hol't läheližiš da ezmäi kaiked ičhižiš, om käraudanus uskondaspäi, i hän om pahemb uskmatont. | 8But if anyone doesn’t provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever. |
| 9Leskiakoiden keskhe pidab otta vaiše mugoine leskiak, kudambale om täudnus kuz'kümne vot i kudamb oli mehel kerdan ühten mehen taga. | 9Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man, |
| 10Händast kaik tedaba hänen hüviden azjoiden tagut, sikš ku hän om kazvatanu lapsid, adivoičetanu kaikid, peznu uskojiden matknikoiden jaugad, abutanu nenile, kenele oli jüged, da tehnu äjan tošt-ki hüväd. | 10being approved by good works, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work. |
| 11Norid leskiakoid ala ota neniden keskhe. Ku heiden hibjan himod heraštuba, hö zavodiba verastada Hristosad da tahtoiba lähtta mehele toižen kerdan. | 11But refuse younger widows, for when they have grown wanton against Christ, they desire to marry, |
| 12Hö iče tegesoiš värnikoikš, sikš ku oma murendanuded sidä, midä edel oliba toivotanuded Jumalale. | 12having condemnation, because they have rejected their first pledge. |
| 13Sen ližaks hö hargneba kävelemha pertišpäi pert'he da tegesoiš joudobusikš, i ei vaiše joudobusikš, a kelidenkandišijoikš, segoiba verhiže azjoihe i pagižeba mugošt, midä ei sa. | 13Besides, they also learn to be idle, going about from house to house. Not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not. |
| 14Sikš minä tahtoin, miše nored leskiakad läksižiba mehele toižen kerdan, saižiba lapsid da tegižiba kodiradoid, i ei andaiži vastustajile aigad pahoiden paginoiden täht. | 14I desire therefore that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, and give no occasion to the adversary for insulting. |
| 15Erased heišpäi oma jätnuded jo ičeze uskondan da männuded sotonan jäl'ghe. | 15For already some have turned away after Satan. |
| 16Ku kenel-ni uskojiden keskes om kodiš leskiakoid, hänele tarbiž pidäda hol't heiš. Heiden tagut ei pida tehta ližaholid uskondkundale. Holdugaha uskondkund vaiše neniden leskiakoiden polhe, kenele tozi-ki tarbiž abud. | 16If any man or woman who believes has widows, let them relieve them, and don’t let the assembly be burdened, that it might relieve those who are widows indeed. |
| 17Vanhembad, ked hüvin vedäba uskondkundad, maksaba kaks'kerdašt arvod, ezmäi kaiked ned, ked tegeba jügedad radod, ku saneleba hüväd vestid vai opendaba. | 17Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching. |
| 18Ved' om sanutud Pühiš Kirjutusiš: «Ala sido sud härgale, kudamb om tapmas», vai «Radnik maksab ičeze paukad». | 18For the Scripture says, “You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain.” And, “The laborer is worthy of his wages.” |
| 19Ala kundle, konz väritadas vanhembid, ku ei ole kaht vai koumed todištajad. | 19Don’t receive an accusation against an elder, except at the word of two or three witnesses. |
| 20Laji grähkäntegijoid kaikiden edes, miše toižed-ki varaidaižiba. | 20Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear. |
| 21Minä lujas sindai pakičen Jumalan edes, Ižandan Iisusan Hristosan edes, valitud angeloiden edes rata neniden nevondoiden mödhe. Ala ühtne nimiččehe polhe i ala valiče nikeda. | 21I command you in the sight of God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality. |
| 22Ala rigehti panda käzid kenen-ni päle, konz valitas abunikoid, miše ed segoiži toižiden grähkihe. Kaiče ičtaiž puhthan. | 22Lay hands hastily on no one. Don’t be a participant in other people’s sins. Keep yourself pure. |
| 23Ala jo vaiše vet, minä nevon sinei joda vähäine vinad-ki sinun vacan tagut i paksuiden kibuiden tagut. | 23Be no longer a drinker of water only, but use a little wine for your stomach’s sake and your frequent infirmities. |
| 24Erasiden mehiden grähkäd näguba kaikile i veba heid sid'-žo sudha, a toižiden grähkäd avaidasoiš möhemba. | 24Some men’s sins are evident, preceding them to judgment, and some also follow later. |
| 25Mugažo erased hüväd-ki azjad näguba kaikile, no nene-ki, kudambid ei nägu, ei voigoi püžuda peitos. | 25In the same way also there are good works that are obvious, and those that are otherwise can’t be hidden. |
