EZMÄINE KIRJEINE FESSALONIKALAIŽILE | 1 Thessalonians |
Chapter 5 | Chapter 5 |
| 1Konz nece aig vai päiv tuleb, teile ei tarbiž kirjutada, velled, | 1But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you. |
| 2sikš ku tö tedat iče ani hüvin, miše Ižandan päiv tuleb tedmata, kuti vargaz öl. | 2For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night. |
| 3Konz rahvaz sanub: «Kaik om hüvin, ei pida varaita nimidä», siloi-se heid ühtnägoi sabutab ozatomuz', kut sündutandkibu tabadab kohtukahan akan, i hö ei ehtkoi pästta pagod. | 3For when they are saying, “Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman. Then they will in no way escape. |
| 4No tö, velled, et elägoi pimedas, i se päiv ei voi tabata teid kuti vargaz. | 4But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief. |
| 5Tö kaik olet vauktan päivän lapsed. Mö em olgoi pimedan ön lapsed. | 5You are all children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness, |
| 6Sid' ei sa meile magata, kut magadaba toižed, a pidab olda jaugoil da sel'ktal päl. | 6so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober. |
| 7Ned, ked magadaba, magadaba öl, ked humaloičeba, oma humalas öl. | 7For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunk are drunk in the night. |
| 8No meile, päivän lapsile, pidab olda sel'ktal päl: meile pidab sätas uskondan da armastusen sobihe, a pähä otta šlemaks päzutandan nadei. | 8But since we belong to the day, let’s be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation. |
| 9Jumal ei ole pannu meid hänespäi vihad samha, a pani samha päzutandan meiden Ižandan Iisusan Hristosan kal't. | 9For God didn’t appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ, |
| 10Hristos om kolnu meiden täht, miše mö voižim eläda ühtes hänenke, olem mö hänen tulendpäivän hot' hengiš, hot' surman unes. | 10who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. |
| 11Ka vahvištagat i tehkat rohktembikš toine tošt, muga ved' tö olet tehnuded-ki. | 11Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do. |
| 12Pakičem teid, velled, pidäda arvos nenid, kudambad äjan radaba teiden keskes, oma teiden vanhembad Ižandan nimes da andaba teile nevondoid. | 12But we beg you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you, |
| 13Ozutagat heile sur't armastust i pidägat heid sures arvos heiden radon tagut. Elägat kožmuses ičekesken. | 13and to respect and honor them in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves. |
| 14Mö pakičem teid, velled: ozutagat oiged te kundlematomile, ližakat varaidajile rohktust, abutagat vähävägižile da olgat tirpajad kaikidenke. | 14We exhort you, brothers: Admonish the disorderly; encourage the faint-hearted; support the weak; be patient toward all. |
| 15Kackat, miše niken ei maksaiži pahal pahas rados. Olgat kaiken hüväd toine toižele i kaikile. | 15See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all. |
| 16Olgat kaiken ihastusiš. | 16Always rejoice. |
| 17Loičkat väzumata. | 17Pray without ceasing. |
| 18Kitkat kaikes. Necidä Jumal tahtoib teišpäi, ked olet Hristosan Iisusan lapsed. | 18In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you. |
| 19Algat sambutagoi Henged, | 19Don’t quench the Spirit. |
| 20algat vähenzoitkoi Jumalan sanankandajiden vestid. | 20Don’t despise prophecies. |
| 21Kackat hüvin kaik nene vestid i otkat se, mi om hüvä. | 21Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good. |
| 22Olgat eriži kaikes pahaspäi. | 22Abstain from every form of evil. |
| 23Iče kožmusen Jumal tehkaha teid pühikš kaikes, kaičegha kaiked mest, teiden henged da hibjad, miše oližit vigatomad meiden Ižandan Iisusan Hristosan tuldes. | 23May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 24Hänele, ken teid kucub, voib uskta, i hän pidäb ičeze toivotusen. | 24He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it. |
| 25Velled, loičkat meiš. | 25Brothers, pray for us. |
| 26Tervehtagat kaikid vellid pühäl tervehtusel. | 26Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss. |
| 27Ižandan nimes käsken teile: lugekat nece kirjeine kaikile pühile vellile. | 27I solemnly command you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the holy brothers. |
| 28Olgha teidenke meiden Ižandan Iisusan Hristosan armod! Amin'. | 28The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen. |
