EZMÄINE KIRJEINE KORINFALAIŽILE | 1 Corinthians |
Chapter 8 | Chapter 8 |
| 1Nügüd' pagižem tühjile jumaloile todud žertvlihas. Meil kaikil om tedoid necen polhe. No tedo tegeb meid ülendelijoikš, a armastuz sen vasthapäi — sauvob. | 1Now concerning things sacrificed to idols: We know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up. |
| 2Ku ken-se meletab, miše hän tedab midä-ni, ka hän völ ei teda muga, kut pidab teta. | 2But if anyone thinks that he knows anything, he doesn’t yet know as he ought to know. |
| 3No ku ken-se armastab Jumalad, ka händast Jumal tedab. | 3But if anyone loves God, the same is known by him. |
| 4Tühjile jumaloile todud žertvlihan söndas sanun muga: mö tedam, miše tühjid jumaloid ei ole. Ei ole nimittušt tošt Jumalad, vaiše üks'. | 4Therefore concerning the eating of things sacrificed to idols, we know that no idol is anything in the world, and that there is no other God but one. |
| 5I hot' taivhas da mas om muga sanutud jumaloid — om-ki niid äi jumaloid da äi ižandoid — | 5For though there are things that are called “gods”, whether in the heavens or on earth; as there are many “gods” and many “lords”; |
| 6no meil om vaiše üks' Jumal, Tat. Hänespäi om lähtnu kaik, i hänen täht mö olem. Meil om vaiše üks' Ižand, Iisus Hristos. Hänen kal't om kaik tehtud, i hänen kal't mö eläm. | 6yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we live through him. |
| 7No kaik sidä ei tekoi. Erased henges meletaba, miše tühjid jumaloid om, i södes lihad ei voigoi meletada miš-se toižes, a vaiše siš, kenele nece žertvliha om todud, i heiden heng, ku se om vähävägine, paganzub. | 7However, that knowledge isn’t in all men. But some, with consciousness of the idol until now, eat as of a thing sacrificed to an idol, and their conscience, being weak, is defiled. |
| 8Vaiše sömine ei to meid lähemba Jumalannoks. Mö em kadotagoi nimidä, konz em sögoi, i em sagoi nimidä, konz söm. | 8But food will not commend us to God. For neither, if we don’t eat, are we the worse; nor, if we eat, are we the better. |
| 9No varaikat, miše nece teiden vald sömižen valičendas ei veiži hengel vähävägižid grähkähä. | 9But be careful that by no means does this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to the weak. |
| 10Ku sinun vähävägine uskondvel'l' nägeb, miše sinä, necen kaiken tedai, ištud sömäs tühjiden jumaloiden kodiš, ei-ik hänen heng sanu hänele, miše hän-ki voiži söda sidä žertvlihad? | 10For if a man sees you who have knowledge sitting in an idol’s temple, won’t his conscience, if he is weak, be emboldened to eat things sacrificed to idols? |
| 11Muga sinun tedon tagut kadob se vähävägine uskondvel'l', kudamban täht om kolnu Hristos. | 11And through your knowledge, he who is weak perishes, the brother for whose sake Christ died. |
| 12I ku muga tö teget grähkid vellid vasthapäi i satatat heiden vähävägišt henged, ka tö teget grähkid Hristosad vasthapäi. | 12Thus, sinning against the brothers, and wounding their conscience when it is weak, you sin against Christ. |
| 13I sikš: ku minun sömine veb minun velled grähkähä, ka minä igän en söškande lihad, miše ei veda minun velled grähkähä. | 13Therefore if food causes my brother to stumble, I will eat no meat forever more, that I don’t cause my brother to stumble. |
