| 1Jäl'ges necidä Iisus läksi Galilejajärven toižele polele. Sidä sanutihe völ Tiveriijärveks. | 1After these things, Jesus went away to the other side of the sea of Galilee, which is also called the Sea of Tiberias. |

| 9«Tägä om prihaine, kudambal om viž' ozrleibäd i kaks' kalad. No kut necidä täuduiži mugomale surele artelile?» | 9“There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two fish, but what are these among so many?” |
| 10Iisus sanui: «Käskkat kaikile išttas.» Siš tahos oli vihand norm, i mehed ištuihe maha. Heid oli läz vittuhad. | 10Jesus said, “Have the people sit down.” Now there was much grass in that place. So the men sat down, in number about five thousand. |
| 11Iisus oti leibäd, kiti Jumalad i andoi leibäd openikoile, i openikad jagoiba ned ištujile. Muga hän jagoi kalan-ki, i kaik saiba severdan, kuverdan hö tahtoiba. | 11Jesus took the loaves; and having given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to those who were sitting down; likewise also of the fish as much as they desired. |
| 12Konz kaik hö oliba külläižed, Iisus sanui openikoile: «Kerakat jänuded palaižed, miše nimidä ei mäniži uhtei.» | 12When they were filled, he said to his disciples, “Gather up the broken pieces which are left over, that nothing be lost.” |
| 13Hö tegiba muga, i vides ozrleibäspäi keraziba völ kaks'toštkümne täut puzud paloid, kudambad oliba jänuded sömäta. | 13So they gathered them up, and filled twelve baskets with broken pieces from the five barley loaves, which were left over by those who had eaten. |
| 14Konz mehed nägištiba, miččen tundmuztegon Iisus tegi, hö sanuiba: «Nece om todeks-ki se Jumalan sanankandai, kudambale tarbiž tulda mirhu.» | 14When therefore the people saw the sign which Jesus did, they said, “This is truly the prophet who comes into the world.” |
| 15No Iisus riži, miše mehed tahtoiba vägel otta i tehta händast kunigahaks, i sikš hän möst läksi mägele üksnäze. | 15Jesus therefore, perceiving that they were about to come and take him by force to make him king, withdrew again to the mountain by himself. |
| 16Konz tuli eht, openikad mäniba alahaks randale, | 16When evening came, his disciples went down to the sea. |

Hö pöl'gästuiba. | 19When therefore they had rowed about twenty-five or thirty stadia, they saw Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing near to the boat; and they were afraid. |
| 20No Iisus sanui: «Minä nece olen, algat varaikoi.» | 20But he said to them, “It is I. Don’t be afraid.” |
| 21Hö tahtoiba otta händast veneheze, no sid'-žo veneh tuli randha, kuna hö ehtatihe-ki. | 21They were willing therefore to receive him into the boat. Immediately the boat was at the land where they were going. |

Sidä sömäd andab teile Mehen Poig, sikš ku hänen päle Tat Jumal om pannu ičeze znaman.» | 27 Don’t work for the food which perishes, but for the food which remains to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has sealed him.” |

| 29Iisus sanui: «Uskkat hänehe, kudamban Jumal om oigendanu. Nece om Jumalan tego.» | 29Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.” |
| 30Hö sanuiba Iisusale: «Miččen tundmuztegon sinä teged, miše mö nägištades sidä uskoižim sinuhu? Midä sinä teged? | 30They said therefore to him, “What then do you do for a sign, that we may see and believe you? What work do you do? |

| 32Neche Iisus sanui: «Todest tozi minä sanun teile: ei Moisei teile andand taivhaspäi leibäd, a minun Tat andab teile taivhaspäi todesišt leibäd. | 32Jesus therefore said to them, “Most certainly, I tell you, it wasn’t Moses who gave you the bread out of heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread out of heaven. |
| 33Jumalan leib om se, kudamb tuleb taivhaspäi i andab mirule elon.» | 33 For the bread of God is that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world.” |

| 35Iisus sanui: «Minä olen elon leib. Ken tuleb minunnoks, ka ei linne nikonz näl'gäs, i ken uskob minuhu, ka ei linne nikonz jomannäl'gäs. | 35Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will not be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty. |
| 36No minä sanuin teile: tö olet nähnuded mindai, a üks'kaik et uskkoi. | 36 But I told you that you have seen me, and yet you don’t believe. |
| 37Kaik ned, kudambid Tat minei andab, tuleba minunnoks, i sidä, kudamb tuleb minunnoks, minä en aja ičeinnopäi. | 37 All those whom the Father gives me will come to me. He who comes to me I will in no way throw out. |
| 38Ved' minä en ole tulnu taivhaspäi tehmaha ičein tahtod, a tulin tehmaha minun Oigendajan, Tatan, tahtod. | 38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me. |
| 39A Tatan, minun Oigendajan, taht om se, miše ei kadotada ni üht heišpäi, keda hän om andnu minei, a miše jäl'gmäižel päiväl eläbzoitta heid kaikid. | 39 This is the will of my Father who sent me, that of all he has given to me I should lose nothing, but should raise him up at the last day. |
| 40Minun Oigendai tahtoib, miše kaikuččel, kudamb nägeb Poigan i uskob hänehe, oliži igähine elo. Jäl'gmäižel päiväl minä eläbzoitan händast.» | 40 This is the will of the one who sent me, that everyone who sees the Son, and believes in him, should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.” |
| 41Evrejalaižed buraidaškanziba Iisusan päle sikš, miše hän sanui: «Minä olen se leib, kudamb tuli alahaks taivhaspäi.» | 41The Jews therefore murmured concerning him, because he said, “I am the bread which came down out of heaven.” |
| 42Hö sanuiba: «Ei-ik nece ole Iisus, Josifan poig? Mö tundem hänen tatad i mamad. Kut hän voib sanuda: ‘Minä tulin taivhaspäi’?» | 42They said, “Isn’t this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How then does he say, ‘I have come down out of heaven?’ ” |
| 43Iisus sanui neche: «Algat buraidagoi kesknetoi! | 43Therefore Jesus answered them, “Don’t murmur among yourselves. |
| 44Niken ei voi tulda minunnoks, ku Tat, kudamb om oigendanu mindai, ei to händast. Händast, kudamb tuleb, minä eläbzoitan jäl'gmäižel päiväl. | 44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up in the last day. |
| 45Jumalan sanankandajiden kirjutusiš om sanutud: ‘Hö kaik linneba opetud Jumalal.’ Kaikutte, kudamb om kundelnu Tatad i otnu südäimehe hänen opendusen, tuleb minunnoks. | 45 It is written in the prophets, ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Therefore everyone who hears from the Father and has learned, comes to me. |
| 46Ka, Tatad niken ei ole nähnu; vaiše hän, kudamb om lähtnu Jumalaspäi, om nähnu Tatan. | 46 Not that anyone has seen the Father, except he who is from God. He has seen the Father. |
| 47Todest tozi sanun teile: ken uskob minuhu, hänel om igähine elo. | 47 Most certainly, I tell you, he who believes in me has eternal life. |
| 48Minä olen elon leib. | 48 I am the bread of life. |
| 49Teiden tatad söiba rahvahatomas mas mannad, i üks'kaik hö koliba. | 49 Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and they died. |
| 50No nece leib tuleb taivhaspäi, i ken necidä söb, ei kole. | 50 This is the bread which comes down out of heaven, that anyone may eat of it and not die. |
| 51Minä olen nece eläb leib, kudamb om tulnu taivhaspäi. Ken söb necidä leibäd, eläškandeb igän. Leib, mittušt minä andan, om minun hibj. Minä andan sidä, miše mir voiži eläda.» | 51 I am the living bread which came down out of heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. Yes, the bread which I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.” |
| 52Siloi evrejalaižed ridleškanziba kesknezoi. Hö küzeliba: «Kut nece mez' voib antta ičeze hibjan meile sömäks?» | 52The Jews therefore contended with one another, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” |
| 53Iisus sanui heile: «Todest tozi sanun teile: ku tö et sögoi Mehen Poigan lihad i et jogoi hänen vert, ka teiš ei linne elod. | 53Jesus therefore said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you don’t have life in yourselves. |
| 54No ken söb minun lihad i job minun vert, hänel om igähine elo, i minä eläbzoitan händast jäl'gmäižel päiväl. | 54 He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. |
| 55Minun liha om todesine söm', i minun veri om todesine jom. | 55 For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. |
| 56Ken söb minun lihad i job minun vert, püžub minus, i minä püžun hänes. | 56 He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood lives in me, and I in him. |
| 57Tat, kudamb om eläb, om oigendanu mindai, i kut minä san Tataspäi elon, muga sab minuspäi elon se, ken söb mindai. | 57 As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father; so he who feeds on me, he will also live because of me. |
| 58Nece om se leib, kudamb om tulnu alahaks taivhaspäi. Se om toinejitte mi manna, kudambad teiden tatad söiba: hö koliba, no ken söb necidä leibäd, eläškandeb igän.» | 58 This is the bread which came down out of heaven—not as our fathers ate the manna, and died. He who eats this bread will live forever.” |
| 59Muga Iisus pagiži, konz openzi Kapernauman suimpertiš. | 59He said these things in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum. |
| 60Necen kulištades äjad hänen openikoišpäi sanuiba: «Mitte jüged pagin! Ken voib kundelta sidä?» | 60Therefore many of his disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying! Who can listen to it?” |
| 61No Iisus tezi, miše hänen openikad buraidaba hänen päle, i sanui heile: «Nece-ik teid rändütab? | 61But Jesus knowing in himself that his disciples murmured at this, said to them, “Does this cause you to stumble? |
| 62Midä linneb, ku tö nägištat, miše Mehen Poig libub sinna, kus hän ende oli! | 62 Then what if you would see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before? |
| 63Vaiše Heng tegeb eläbaks, hibjaspäi ei ole nimittušt ližad. Ned sanad, kudambad minä olen teile sanunu, oma heng i elo. | 63 It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and are life. |
| 64No teiden keskes om mugoižid, kudambad ei uskkoi.» Ved' Iisus tezi ezmässai, ked ei uskkoi i ken möb händast. | 64 But there are some of you who don’t believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who didn’t believe, and who it was who would betray him. |
| 65Hän ližazi völ: «Sikš sanuin-ki teile, miše niken ei voi tulda minunnoks, ku Tatain ei anda necidä valdad hänele.» | 65He said, “For this cause I have said to you that no one can come to me, unless it is given to him by my Father.” |
| 66Jäl'ges necidä äjad Iisusan openikoišpäi läksiba hänen sebraspäi i ei kävunugoi enamba hänenke ühtes. | 66At this, many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him. |
| 67Iisus küzui nenil kahteltoštkümnel: «Tahtoit-ik tö-ki lähtta?» | 67Jesus said therefore to the twelve, “You don’t also want to go away, do you?” |
| 68Simon Petr sanui hänele: «Ižand, kenennoks mö mänižim? Sinai oma igähižen elon sanad. | 68Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom would we go? You have the words of eternal life. |
| 69Mö uskom i tedam, miše sinä oled Messia, eläban Jumalan Poig.» | 69We have come to believe and know that you are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” |
| 70Iisus sanui heile: «Ved' minä iče teid valičin, kaikid kahttoštkümned. No üks' teišpäi om lemboi.» | 70Jesus answered them, “Didn’t I choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?” |
| 71Hän sanui sen Judan Iskariotan polhe, Simonan poigan polhe. Hän möhemba möi Iisusan, hot' oli üks' neniš kahtestoštkümnespäi. | 71Now he spoke of Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, for it was he who would betray him, being one of the twelve. |
