| 1Hüvä vest' Iisusan Hristosan polhe, Jumalan Poigan polhe, mäneškanzi ninga: | 1The beginning of the Good News of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. |
| 2Jumalan sanankandajiden kirjutusiš oma mugomad Jumalan sanad: — Minä oigendan vestinkandajan edel sindai, hän vaumištab ten sinun edes. | 2As it is written in the prophets, “Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you: |
| 3Kirgujan än' kulub rahvahatomas mas: Puhtastagat Ižandale te, tehkat oiktoikš hänele tehuded! | 3the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord! Make his paths straight!’ ” |
| 4I oli muga. Joan valati rahvahatomas mas i saneli, miše rahvahale tarbiž kärautas grähkišpäi i valatadas, miše heiden grähkäd oliži pästtud. | 4John came baptizing in the wilderness and preaching the baptism of repentance for forgiveness of sins. |
| 5Hänennoks tuli rahvast kaikiš Judejan agjoišpäi i Jerusaliman lidnaspäi. Hö avaižiba ičeze grähkäd, i Joan valati heid Jordanjoges. | 5All the country of Judea and all those of Jerusalem went out to him. They were baptized by him in the Jordan river, confessing their sins. |
| 6Joannal oli päl soba verbl'udan karvoišpäi i nahkvö vösijal, hän söi čirggäižid i mezjaižiden met. | 6John was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist. He ate locusts and wild honey. |
| 7Hän saneli: «Minun jäl'ghe tuleb vägevamb mindai, minä en rohti kumartas i rušta hänen kengiden pagloid-ki. | 7He preached, saying, “After me comes he who is mightier than I, the thong of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loosen. |
| 8Minä olen valatanu teid vedel, a hän valatab teid Pühäl Hengel.» | 8I baptized you in water, but he will baptize you in the Holy Spirit.” |
| 9Nenil päivil Iisus tuli Galilejan Nazaretan lidnaspäi, i Joan valati händast Jordanjoges. | 9In those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John in the Jordan. |
| 10Konz Iisus libui vedespäi, Joan nägišti, kut rebitihe taivaz i Heng päzui Iisusan päle kut kühkjaine. | 10Immediately coming up from the water, he saw the heavens parting, and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. |
| 11Taivhaspäi kului än': «Sinä oled minun armaz Poig, i sinunke om minun armastuz.» | 11A voice came out of the sky, “You are my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” |
| 12Pigai necen jäl'ghe Heng vedi Iisusan rahvahatomha maha. | 12Immediately the Spirit drove him out into the wilderness. |
| 13Hän oli rahvahatomas mas nel'l'kümne päiväd, i soton kodvi händast. Hän eli sigä mecživatoiden keskes, i angelad pidiba hänes hol't. | 13He was there in the wilderness forty days tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals; and the angels were serving him. |
| 14Konz Joan oli tactud türmha, Iisus pördihe Galilejaha i saneleškanzi hüväd vestid Jumalan valdkundan polhe. | 14Now after John was taken into custody, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the Good News of God’s Kingdom, |
| 15Hän saneli: «Se aig om tulnu, Jumalan valdkund om lähenu. Käraukatoiš grähkišpäi i uskkat hüvähä vestihe!» | 15and saying, “The time is fulfilled, and God’s Kingdom is at hand! Repent, and believe in the Good News.” |
| 16Konz Iisus astui Galilejajärven randadme, hän nägišti Simonan i hänen vellen Andrejan. Hö laskiba verkoid järvhe, sikš ku oliba kalanikad. | 16Passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew, the brother of Simon, casting a net into the sea, for they were fishermen. |
| 17Iisus sanui heile: «Astkam minunke. Minä tegen teid mehiden kalanikoikš.» | 17Jesus said to them, “Come after me, and I will make you into fishers for men.” |
| 18Hö sid'-žo jätiba ičeze verkod i läksiba Iisusanke. | 18Immediately they left their nets, and followed him. |
| 19Päliči tekeskustas Iisus nägišti Jakovan i hänen vellen Joannan, Zevedejan poigad. Hö-ki oliba venehes verkoid kohendamas. | 19Going on a little further from there, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John, his brother, who were also in the boat mending the nets. |
| 20Iisus sid'-žo kucui heid-ki. Hö jätiba ičeze tatan Zevedejan i paukatud radnikoid veneheze i läksiba Iisusanke. | 20Immediately he called them, and they left their father, Zebedee, in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him. |
| 21Hö tuliba Kapernauman lidnaha. Sobatan Iisus teravas mäni suimpert'he i openzi sigä. | 21They went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught. |
| 22Rahvaz čududelihe hänen opendushe. Hän openzi muga kut se, kenel om vald, a ei kut käskištonopendajad. | 22They were astonished at his teaching, for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes. |
| 23Siloi lidnan suimpert'he tuli mez', kudambas oli pagan heng. Hän kidastaškanzi: | 23Immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit, and he cried out, |
| 24«Midä sinä meišpäi tahtoid, Iisus Nazaretalaine? Sinä oled tulnu vemha meid surmha! Minä tedan, ken sinä oled — Jumalan Pühä!» | 24saying, “Ha! What do we have to do with you, Jesus, you Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are: the Holy One of God!” |
| 25No Iisus kel'di henged kovas: «Ole vaikti! Lähte hänespäi!» | 25Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” |
| 26Siloi pagan heng peksaškanzi mest, kidastaškanzi komedal änel i läksi hänespäi. | 26The unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him. |
| 27Kaik čududelihe i küzeliba toine tošt: «Mi nece om? Ka mitte nece uz' openduz om, miše hän valdanke käskeb paganoile hengile, i hö kundleba händast?» | 27They were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? A new teaching? For with authority he commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey him!” |
| 28I teravas hänen polhe tedištiba kaikjal, ümbri kaikes Galilejas. | 28The report of him went out immediately everywhere into all the region of Galilee and its surrounding area. |
| 29Suimpertišpäi lähttes hö pigai tuliba Simonan i Andrejan kodihe. Jakov i Joan oliba mugažo ühtes heidenke. | 29Immediately, when they had come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. |
| 30Simonan anop' venui sijal, hänel oli žar, i hänen polhe sanuiba kerdalaz Iisusale. | 30Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick with a fever, and immediately they told him about her. |
| 31Iisus mäni hänennoks, oti kädes, abuti libuda. Kibu sid'-žo läksi Simonan anopespäi, i hän zavodi adivoičetada heid. | 31He came and took her by the hand, and raised her up. The fever left her immediately, and she served them. |
| 32Ehtkoižel, konz päiväine oli lasknus, Iisusannoks todihe kaikid läžujid i mugomid, kenes eliba pahad henged. | 32At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to him all who were sick, and those who were possessed by demons. |
| 33Rahvaz kaikes lidnaspäi oli keradanus verajannoks. | 33All the city was gathered together at the door. |
| 34Hän tegi tervhikš äi mehid, kudambad läžuiba erazvuiččil kibuil, küksi äi pahoid hengid i ei andand heile pagišta, ved' hö teziba, miše hän om Messia. | 34He healed many who were sick with various diseases, and cast out many demons. He didn’t allow the demons to speak, because they knew him. |
| 35Aigoiš homendesel, konz oli völ pimed, Iisus nouzi i läksi irdale. Hän mäni rahvahatomha tahoze i loiči sigä Jumalale. | 35Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there. |
| 36Simon i hänenke olijad läksiba ecmaha Iisusad | 36Simon and those who were with him searched for him. |
| 37i löuziba händast. Hö sanuiba hänele: «Kaik eciba sindai.» | 37They found him and told him, “Everyone is looking for you.” |
| 38No Iisus sanui: «Mängam nügüd' lähembaižihe külihe i lidnoihe. Minei tarbiž sinna-ki veda Jumalan sana, sen täht minä olen-ki tulnu.» | 38He said to them, “Let’s go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also, because I came out for this reason.” |
| 39Muga hän läksi i käveli kaikjal Galilejas, saneli Jumalan sanad äjiš suimpertiš i küksi pahoid hengid. | 39He went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons. |
| 40Iisusannoks tuli prokazas läžui, lanksi kombuile, pakičeškanzi hänel abud i sanui: «Ku sinä tahtoid, ka void puhtastada mindai.» | 40A leper came to him, begging him, kneeling down to him, and saying to him, “If you want to, you can make me clean.” |
| 41Iisusale tegihe žal' händast. Hän oigenzi käden, kosketi mest i sanui: «Minä tahtoin. Tehte puhthaks.» | 41Being moved with compassion, he stretched out his hand, and touched him, and said to him, “I want to. Be made clean.” |
| 42Neniden sanoiden jäl'ghe kibu kerdalaz läksi hänespäi, i hän tegihe puhthaks. | 42When he had said this, immediately the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean. |
| 43Iisus kovil sanoil käski hänele sid'-žo lähtta täspäi | 43He strictly warned him, and immediately sent him out, |
| 44i sanui: «Kacu, ala pagiže necen polhe nikenele. Mäne vaiše, ozutade papile i ve Jumalale lahj, kudamban oli käsknu Moisei antta puhtastandas, todištuseks heile.» | 44and said to him, “See you say nothing to anybody, but go show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.” |
| 45No sigäpäi lähttes nece mez' zavodi kaiktäna pagišta i sanelda vestid necen polhe, muga miše Iisus ei voind jo peitmata tulda ni ühthe lidnaha. Hän eläškanzi rahvahatomiš tahoiš, i kaikjalpäi hänennoks tuleskeli rahvast. | 45But he went out, and began to proclaim it much, and to spread about the matter, so that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was outside in desert places. People came to him from everywhere. |
