EVANGELII MATVEJAN MÖDHE

Matthew

Chapter 5

Chapter 5

Konz Iisus nägišti suren rahvazkogon, hän libui mägele. Hän ištuihe i openikad tuliba hänennoks.1Seeing the multitudes, he went up onto the mountain. When he had sat down, his disciples came to him.
Hän zavodi pagišta i openzi heid muga:2He opened his mouth and taught them, saying,

«Ozavad oma gol'l'ad hengel:
hö eläškandeba taivhan valdkundas.
“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
Ozavad oma voikajad:
Jumal tüništoitab heid.
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
Ozavad oma tirpajad:
heiden linneb kaik ma.
Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.
Ozavad oma tozioiktusen näl'gäs olijad:
heid sötaškatas külläks.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.
Ozavad oma armahtajad:
heid-ki armahtadas.
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
Ozavad oma puhtazsüdäimeližed:
hö nägištaba Jumalan.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Ozavad oma kožmusensauvojad:
heid kucuškatas Jumalan lapsikš.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.
Ozavad oma ned, keda kükstas tozioiktan elon tagut:
hö eläškandeba taivhan valdkundas.
Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
Ozavad olet tö, konz teid minun tagut lajidas, kükstas i konz teiden polhe kelhil sanoil pagištas kaiked pahad.11 “Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Ihastugat, ilostugat, sikš ku pauk, kudamban tö sat taivhas, om sur'. Mugažo kükstihe Jumalan sanankandajid, kudambad eliba edel teid.»
Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
«Tö olet man sol. No ku sol kadotab magun, ka mi tegeb sen solakahaks? Se ei kožu nikuna: se tactas, i mehed polgetaba sen jaugoil.13 “You are the salt of the earth, but if the salt has lost its flavor, with what will it be salted? It is then good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under the feet of men.
Tö olet mirun lämoi. Lidn, kudamb seižub mägen ocal, ei voi peittas.14 You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden.
Ei pangoi viritadud lampad astijan alle, a pandas lampanpidimehe. Siloi lämoi palab kaikile pertiš olijoile.15 Neither do you light a lamp, and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house.
Muga palagaha teiden-ki lämoi mehile, miše hö nägižiba teiden hüväd tegod i ülenzoitaižiba teiden Tatad, kudamb om taivhas.»
Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
«Algat lugekoi, miše minä olen tulnu käskištod i Jumalan sanankandajiden kirjutusid murendamha. En minä ole tulnu murendamha, vaiše täutmaha.17 “Don’t think that I came to destroy the law or the prophets. I didn’t come to destroy, but to fulfill.
Todeks sanun teile: kuni oma taivaz i ma, käskištospäi ei kado ni üks' kirjam, ni üks' čokim edel, ku kaik muga linneb.18 For most certainly, I tell you, until heaven and earth pass away, not even one smallest letter or one tiny pen stroke shall in any way pass away from the law, until all things are accomplished.
Ken murendab miččen-ni käskön, eskai kaikid penemban-ki, i ninga opendab, händast kucuškatas kaikid penembaks taivhan valdkundas. No se, kudamb eläb käskišton mödhe i ninga opendab, kucuškatas taivhan valdkundas kaikid surembaks.19 Whoever, therefore, shall break one of these least commandments, and teach others to do so, shall be called least in the Kingdom of Heaven; but whoever shall do and teach them shall be called great in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Minä sanun teile: ku tö et eläškakoi Jumalan tahton mödhe paremba mi käskištonopendajad i farisejad, ka et päzugoi taivhan valdkundaha.»
For I tell you that unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, there is no way you will enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.
«Tö tedat, miše jo ezitatoile oli sanutud: ‘Ala riko.’ Ken rikob, maksab sudad.21 “You have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, ‘You shall not murder;’ and ‘Whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.’
No minä sanun teile: kaikutte, ken uhtei käregandeb vellen päle, maksab sudad. Mugažo kaikutte, ken sanub ičeze vellele: ‘Voi sinä hagopä’, maksab Nevondkundan sudad, i ken sanub: ‘Voi sinä urad’, maksab adun lämoid.22 But I tell you that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause will be in danger of the judgment. Whoever says to his brother, ‘Raca!’ will be in danger of the council. Whoever says, ‘You fool!’ will be in danger of the fire of Gehenna.
Ku sinä ved altarile lahjad, i sigä johtutad, miše vellel om midä-se sindai vasthapäi,23 “If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you,
ka jäta lahj altarin edehe i mäne edel latte vellenke. Sen jäl'ghe mäne vemha lahj altarile.24 leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.
Ku ken-ni sudiše sinunke, latte teramba, konz hänenke völ oled astmas sudha. Muite hän andab sindai sudjan käzihe, i sudj andab sindai varjoičijale, i muga sindai tactas türmha.25 Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are with him on the way; lest perhaps the prosecutor deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be cast into prison.
Todeks sanun sinei: sigäpäi sinä ed lähte, kuni ed maksa kaiked jäl'gmäižehe kodrantahasai.»
Most certainly I tell you, you shall by no means get out of there, until you have paid the last penny.
«Tö tedat, miše ezitatoile oli sanutud: ‘Ala magada verhan akanke.’27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery;’
No minä sanun teile: kaikutte, kudamb kacub naižehe himonke, om südäimes jo magadanu hänenke.28 but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Ku sinun oiged sil'm veb sindai grähkähä, ratkaida se i taci laptaha. Ved' sinei linneb paremb, miše sinä kadotad vaiše ühten palan hibjaspäi, mi kaik sinun hibj tactas adhu.29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.
Ku sinun oiged käzi veb sindai grähkähä, čapa se i taci laptaha. Ved' sinei linneb paremb, miše sinä kadotad vaiše ühten palan hibjaspäi, mi kaik sinun hibj tactas adhu.30 If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be cast into Gehenna.
Om mugažo sanutud: ‘Ku mužik tahtoib erigata ičeze akaspäi, hänele tarbiž antta akale erigoituzbumag.’31 “It was also said, ‘Whoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorce,’
No minä sanun teile: kaikutte kudamb tacib ičeze akan, a ak ei olend vedelusen, hän ajab händast verhan mužikannoks. I ken naib mužikan tactud akal, hän magadab toižen mužikan akanke.»
but I tell you that whoever puts away his wife, except for the cause of sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is put away commits adultery.
«Tö völ tedat, miše jo ezitatoile oli sanutud: ‘Ala kelasta, ku andad vahvan sanan’ i ‘Pidä vahvas sana, kudamban oled Ižandale andnu.’33 “Again you have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, ‘You shall not make false vows, but shall perform to the Lord your vows,’
No minä sanun teile: Algat nikonz vahvištoitkoi ičetoi sanoid — ei taivhan kal't, sikš ku se om Jumalan valdsija,34 but I tell you, don’t swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God;
ei man kal't, sikš ku nece om hänen jaugoiden alanduz, ei Jerusaliman kal't, sikš ku nece om suren kunigahan lidn.35 nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.
Ala vahvištoita sanoid ičeiž pän kal't, sikš ku sinä iče ed voi tehta üht-ki hibust mustaks vai vauktaks.36 Neither shall you swear by your head, for you can’t make one hair white or black.
Konz pidab vahvištoitta sanad, sanugat vaiše: ‘Ka’ vai ‘Ei.’ Enamb om jo pahaspäi.»
But let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes’ and your ‘No’ be ‘No.’ Whatever is more than these is of the evil one.
«Teile om sanutud: ‘Sil'm sil'mäs, hambaz hambhas.’38 “You have heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth.’
No minä sanun teile: algat vastustagoi pahad. A ku ken-se löb sindai oiktaha modpoliškoho, kända hänele hur-ki.39 But I tell you, don’t resist him who is evil; but whoever strikes you on your right cheek, turn to him the other also.
Ku ken-se tahtoib sudan kal't otta sinai alembaižen soban, anda hänele pälembaine-ki.40 If anyone sues you to take away your coat, let him have your cloak also.
Ku ken-se käskeb astta hänenke virstan, mäne kaks'.41 Whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two.
Anda sille, ken sinai pakičeb, ala käraute sel'gäl sille, ken tahtoib otta sinai velgha.42 Give to him who asks you, and don’t turn away him who desires to borrow from you.
Teile om sanutud: ‘Armasta ičeiž lähembašt i ala navedi ičeiž vihanikad.’43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’
No minä sanun teile: Armastagat ičetoi vihanikoid, blahoslovigat nenid, ked pakičeba teiden päle Jumalan vihad, tehkat hüväd teiden vihanikoile i loičkat neniden polhe, ked mokičeba i kükseba teid.44 But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,
Siloi tö olet teiden taivhaližen Tatan lapsed. Hän andab päiväižele nousta kut hüvile, muga pahoile-ki i oigendab vihman kut tozioiktoile, muga jumalatomile-ki.45 that you may be children of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust.
Ku tö armastat nenid, ked armastaba teid, miččen paukan völ varastat? Ei-ik muga tehkoi pahad maksunkeradajad-ki?46 For if you love those who love you, what reward do you have? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same?
Ku tö sanut tervhensanoid vaiše teiden läheližile, midä sid' om mugošt? Ei-ik muga tehkoi ned-ki, ked ei tuntkoi Jumalad?47 If you only greet your friends, what more do you do than others? Don’t even the tax collectors do the same?
Olgat tö-ki hüväd kaikes, muga kut om hüvä teiden taivhaline Tat.»
Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect.
