| 1Niin jotta piätin olla tulomatta tiän luokši, jotta tuaš en pahottais tiän mieltä. | 1But I determined this for myself, that I would not come to you again in sorrow. |
| 2Kun mie pahottanen tiän mielen, niin miteinpä mie iče voisin olla iloni? Šilloinhan työ pahan mielen painamina että vois noštua miun mieltä. | 2For if I make you grieve, then who will make me glad but he who is made to grieve by me? |
| 3Juuri šentäh kirjutinki teilä, jotta šinne tultuo en pahottais mieltäni niijen takie, kenen pitäis olla miula ilokši. Mie kun lujašti luotin šiih, jotta miun ilo on kaikkien tiän ilo niise. | 3And I wrote this very thing to you, so that, when I came, I wouldn’t have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy would be shared by all of you. |

| 17Myö še ainaški emmä ole šemmosie niin kuin monet muut, ket käyväh kauppua Jumalan šanalla. Myö šanelemma šitä puhtahalla šytämellä šemmosena, mimmosena še tuli Jumalalta. Ruamma tätä ruatuo Hristossan voimalla Jumalan šilmien ieššä. | 17For we are not as so many, peddling the word of God. But as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, we speak in Christ. |
