A köyhällä työ šanotta: «Šie šeiso tuošša», tahi: «Issu šie täššä, miun jaloissa». | 3and you pay special attention to him who wears the fine clothing and say, “Sit here in a good place;” and you tell the poor man, “Stand there,” or “Sit by my footstool” |
| 4Näin työ juatta ihmisie oman mielen mukah. Teistä on tullun suutijie, kumpasilla on viärät ajatukšet. | 4haven’t you shown partiality among yourselves, and become judges with evil thoughts? |
| 5Kuulkua, armahat vellet! Eikö Jumala valinnun muailman köyhie olomah ušošša pohattoina? Eikö juuri hyö peritä Valtakuntua, kumpasen Jumala lupasi Häntä tykkyäjillä. | 5Listen, my beloved brothers. Didn’t God choose those who are poor in this world to be rich in faith, and heirs of the Kingdom which he promised to those who love him? |
| 6Ka työ häpäsijä köyhän. Eikö juuri pohatat ahisseta teitä ta vejetä teitä suutuh? | 6But you have dishonored the poor man. Don’t the rich oppress you, and personally drag you before the courts? |
| 7Eikö juuri hyö hävätä šitä hyvyä nimie, kumpasella teitä nyt kučutah? | 7Don’t they blaspheme the honorable name by which you are called? |
| 8Ruatta oikein, kun elänettä Sakonan korkeimman käšyn mukah, kumpani on Pyhissä Kirjutukšissa. Še käšky on tämmöni: «Tykkyä lähimmäistäš niin kuin iččieš». | 8However, if you fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well. |
| 9Ka kun työ ruvennetta jakamah ihmisie heijän arvon mukah, teilä tulou riähkä, ta Sakonan ieššä työ oletta viärät. | 9But if you show partiality, you commit sin, being convicted by the law as transgressors. |
| 10Niät kun še, ken muitein eläy Sakonan mukah, ta kuitenki rikkou šen yheššä kohašša, še on kaikissa kohin viärä. | 10For whoever keeps the whole law, and yet stumbles in one point, he has become guilty of all. |
| 11Jumala, kumpani on šanon: «Elä makua vierahan naisen kera», šano niise: «Elä tapa». Vaikka et ni makuais vierahan naisen kera, ka kun tappanet, niin olet sakonanrikkoja. | 11For he who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not commit murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. |
| 12Niin jotta paiskua ta ruatakkua niin kuin ne, ketä Jumala suutiu šen sakonan mukah, mi piäštäy ihmisen riähän ta kuoloman vallašta. | 12So speak and so do, as men who are to be judged by a law of freedom. |
| 13Ken ei toisie armaha, šen Jumalaki suutiu ilmain armuo. No ken armahtau, šen Jumalaki suutušša armahtau. | 13For judgment is without mercy to him who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment. |
| 14Vellet, mitä hyötyö šiitä on, kun ken šanonou, jotta hiän uškou, a ičelläh ei ole ruatoja. Voisko šemmoni uško pelaštua hänet? | 14What good is it, my brothers, if a man says he has faith, but has no works? Can faith save him? |

| 16niin mitä virkua ois tiän šanuo: «Mänkyä rauhašša, šuoriutukkua lämpimäšti ta šyökyä hyvin»? Eikö tiän pitäis antua heilä šitä, mitä hyö elyäkšeh tarvitah? | 16and one of you tells them, “Go in peace. Be warmed and filled;” yet you didn’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it? |
| 17Šamoin voit ušoštaki šanuo. Kun työ vain uškonetta ettäkä ruatane mitänä, tiän uško on kuollut. | 17Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself. |
| 18Nyt kennih šuattau šanuo: «Šiula on uško, miula ruavot». Šiih mie šanon: «Näytä šie miula oma uškoš ilmain ruatoja, a mie näytän šiula ušon omilla ruatoloillani». | 18Yes, a man will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works. |
| 19Šie ušot, jotta on vain yksi Jumala. Oikein ruat! Piessat niise ušotah še ta niin varatah, jotta vapissah. | 19You believe that God is one. You do well. The demons also believe, and shudder. |
| 20Ka etkö šie, tyhjänpäiväni ihmini, taho tietyä, jotta ilmain ruatoja uško on kuollut. | 20But do you want to know, vain man, that faith apart from works is dead? |
| 21Eikö miän kantatuatto Aprahami kelvannun Jumalalla omien ruatojen takie, kun hiän vei poikah Issakan uhriksi alttarilla? | 21Wasn’t Abraham our father justified by works, in that he offered up Isaac his son on the altar? |
| 22Niäthän šie, jotta Aprahamin uško ta ruavot kuulutah yhteh: ruatojen kautti uško tuli täyvekši. | 22You see that faith worked with his works, and by works faith was perfected. |
| 23Ta niin täytty Pyhien Kirjutukšien tämä šana: «Aprahami uško Jumalua, ta šentäh hiän kelpasi Jumalalla». Näin hiän šai nimekši Jumalan tovarissa. | 23So the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him as righteousness,” and he was called the friend of God. |
