| 9Sigä hö kodviba minun tirpandad i nägiba minun radod nellänkümnen voden aigan. | 9where your fathers tested me and tried me, and saw my deeds for forty years. |
| 10Sikš minä kurktuin necen rodun päle i sanuin: «Kaiken aigan hö oma segoinuded ičeze südäimiš.» Hö ei tahtoinugoi mända minun tedme, | 10Therefore I was displeased with that generation, and said, ‘They always err in their heart, but they didn’t know my ways.’ |

| 12Ka kackat, velled, miše niken teišpäi südäimes ei oliži paha da uskmatoi i miše et käraudaižihe eläbas Jumalaspäi. | 12Beware, brothers, lest perhaps there might be in any one of you an evil heart of unbelief, in falling away from the living God; |

| 15Necen polhe om sanutud muga: — Tämbei, ku tö kulet hänen änen, algat kovitagoi ičetoi südäimid, kut tegit siloi, konz libuit händast vasthapäi. | 15while it is said, “Today if you will hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts, as in the rebellion.” |
| 16Ked kuliba, no üks'kaik libuiba vasthapäi, ka ei-ik hö olnugoi siš artelišpäi, keda Moisei vedi Egiptaspäi? | 16For who, when they heard, rebelled? Wasn’t it all those who came out of Egypt led by Moses? |
| 17Kenen päle Jumal oli käregandenu nel'l'kümne vot? Ka neniden päle, ked lanksiba grähkähä i heiden hibjad jäiba sen jäl'ghe rahvahatomha maha. | 17With whom was he displeased forty years? Wasn’t it with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? |
| 18Kenele hän andoi vahvan sanan, miše hö ei päzugoi hänen lebutahoze? Ka kundlematomile. | 18To whom did he swear that they wouldn’t enter into his rest, but to those who were disobedient? |
| 19Sikš mö nägem-ki: hö ei voinugoi päzuda sinna, ku hö ei usknugoi. | 19We see that they weren’t able to enter in because of unbelief. |
