Chapter 4

Chapter 4

Minä, kudamb olen Ižandan täht türmas, tomotan teid elämaha muga, kut pidab eläda Jumalan kuctud mehile.1I therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk worthily of the calling with which you were called,
Olgat toine toižele kaikes kundlijaižed da laskvad, püžugat tirpandas da armastuses.2with all lowliness and humility, with patience, bearing with one another in love,
Pangat kaik väged sihe, miše kaita Hengen anttud ühtmust kožmusel, kudamb sidob teid ühthe.3being eager to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
Om vaiše üks' hibj i üks' Heng, muga kut üks' om se nadei, mihe teid om kuctud.4There is one body and one Spirit, even as you also were called in one hope of your calling,

Om vaiše üks' Ižand, üks' uskond, üks' valatuz!
one Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Üks' om Jumal, kaikiden Tat!
Hän om kaikiden päl, radab kaikes i om meiš kaikiš.
one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all, and in us all.
No kaikuččele meišpäi om anttud armoid sen mödhe, kut Hristos om tahtoinu antta.7But to each one of us, the grace was given according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Ved' om sanutud:
— Hän libui ülähäks,
oti ičezenke türmas olijoid,
andoi lahjoid mehile.
Therefore he says, “When he ascended on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts to people.”
Ei-ik nece «Hän libui» znamoiče sidä, miše hän ezmäi oli lasknus alahaks, eskai man alembaižihe sijoihe?9Now this, “He ascended”, what is it but that he also first descended into the lower parts of the earth?
I ken laskihe alahaks, om se-žo üks', ken libui ülähäks, kaikid taivhid korktemba, da täuti kaiken.10He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things.
Hän andoi uskondkundale kut apostoloid, muga Jumalan sanankandajid i hüvän vestin sanelijoid, kut paimnid, muga opendajid-ki,11He gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, shepherds and teachers;
miše tehta jumalanuskojid vaumhikš služindradon täht, Hristosan hibjan sauvondan täht,12for the perfecting of the saints, to the work of serving, to the building up of the body of Christ,
kuni mö kaik ühtnem sihe-žo uskondaha i Jumalan Poigan tundemižehe. I muga mö kazvam i tegemoiš täuz'igäižikš, ani Hristosan karččikš.13until we all attain to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ,
I sid' mö em olgoi jo pened lapsed, kudambid heilutab čurha da toižhe erazvuiččil opendusil da kudambid vällišpäd da manitajad mehed vedeleba ičeze tahton mödhe.14that we may no longer be children, tossed back and forth and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in craftiness, after the wiles of error;
Oldes toden da armastusen henges, mö kazvaškandem i tegemoiš kaikes mugoižikš kut Hristos, kudamb om kaiken pä.15but speaking truth in love, we may grow up in all things into him who is the head, Christ,
Hän ühtenzoitab kaiken hibjan i pidäškandeb sidä kogos kaikiden nivelehiden abul, a konz kaikutte hibjan pala tegeškandeb ičeze töd, sid' hibj kazvaškandeb i vahveneškandeb armastuses.
from whom all the body, being fitted and knit together through that which every joint supplies, according to the working in measure of each individual part, makes the body increase to the building up of itself in love.
Sikš minä pakiten pakičen teid, Ižandan täht algat enamba elägoi muga, kut eläba Jumalad tundmatomad rahvahad! Heiden meled oma tühjad,17This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles also walk, in the futility of their mind,
heiden el'genduz om pimenzunu, i se elo, miččen Jumal andab, om heile veraz, sikš ku hö oma tedmatomad, a heiden südäimed — kovad.18being darkened in their understanding, alienated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the hardening of their hearts.
Hö huiktelemata andasoiš kebnaha eloho i paganoihe himoihe, vajuba grähkähä da ei külläštugoi.19They, having become callous, gave themselves up to lust, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
Teile ei muga opetud Hristosad,20But you didn’t learn Christ that way,
om ved' teile sanutud hänen polhe, om opetud se tozi, mitte Iisusas om.21if indeed you heard him, and were taught in him, even as truth is in Jesus:
Sen opendusen mödhe teile pidab tacta polhe enččed elonverod i teiden vanh «minä», mittušt manitajad himod traviba.22that you put away, as concerning your former way of life, the old man that grows corrupt after the lusts of deceit,
Teile pidab udištuda melel i hengel,23and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
sobdas udhe meheze, kudamb om tehtud Jumalan tahton mödhe i oigetud elämaha pühäd elod oiktuses i todes.24and put on the new man, who in the likeness of God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
Ka tackat polhe kelastuz, pagiškat toine toižele vaiše tot, ved' mö olem sen-žo ühten hibjan palad.25Therefore putting away falsehood, speak truth each one with his neighbor. For we are members of one another.
I ku tö verdut-ki, ka algat tehkoi grähkäd. Kožugatoiš edel päiväižen laskendad,26“Be angry, and don’t sin.” Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath,
algat antkoi sijad lemboile.27and don’t give place to the devil.
Ken vargasti, algha vargastagoi edeleze, a tartkaha radho, tehkaha ičeze käzil midä-ni tarbhašt i jagakaha radon satusid toižiden keskes, ken om mairhes.28Let him who stole steal no more; but rather let him labor, producing with his hands something that is good, that he may have something to give to him who has need.
Nimitte paha sana algha lähtkoi teiden suspäi, a pagiškat se, mi om hüvä, mi abutab uskondas i mi tob kulijoile hüväd mel't.29Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building others up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Algat togoi pahad mel't Jumalan Pühäle Hengele, kudamb om anttud teile pečatikš sen päivän täht, konz Jumal päzutab meid valdale.30Don’t grieve the Holy Spirit of God, in whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.
Tackat polhe kaik kurktuz, käreganduz, viha, kidad, lajindsanad i pahuz'.31Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice.
Olgat toine toižele hüväd, žalleičijad da pästkat toine toižen abidod, muga kut Jumal om pästnu abidoid Hristosan täht.
And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
