Chapter 10

Chapter 10

1Velled, minä kaikel südäimel tahtoin da loičen Jumalale, miše Izrail' saiži päzutandan.1Brothers, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved.
2Sanun toden: heiden heng palab Jumalan polhe, no heiš ei ole el'gendust.2For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
3Hö ei kundelnugoi Jumalan tozioiktust, ku ei el'gendanugoi sidä, a tahtoiba tehta ičeze tozioiktusen.3For being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn’t subject themselves to the righteousness of God.
4Hristos ved' om käskišton lop: nügüd' tozioiktaks tegese kaikutte, ken uskob.
4For Christ is the fulfillment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
5Siš tozioiktuses, kudamb pohjištub käskištoho, Moisei kirjutab: «Ken tegeb, kut käskištos om sanutud, eläškandeb sil.»5For Moses writes about the righteousness of the law, “The one who does them will live by them.”
6A tozioiktuz', kudamb tuleb uskondan kal't, sanub muga: «Ala pagiže ičeiž südäimes: ‘Kenak libub taivhaze?’ — mi znamoičeb, miše toda male Hristosad —6But the righteousness which is of faith says this, “Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ (that is, to bring Christ down);
7vai: ‘Ken voib lasktas pohjatomha haudha?’ — mi znamoičeb, miše eläbzoitta Hristosad kollijoišpäi.7or, ‘Who will descend into the abyss?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead.)”
8No midä om sanutud Pühiš Kirjutusiš ?
— Sana om läz sindai,
sinun sus da sinun südäimes.
Nece om sen uskondan sana, kudambad mö sanelem.
8But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;” that is, the word of faith which we preach:
9Ku sinä sul sanud Iisusad Ižandaks da südäimes uskod, miše Jumal om eläbzoitnu händast kollijoišpäi, sid' sinä linned päzutadud.9that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10Südäimen uskond tegeb mehen tozioiktaks, sun sana tob päzutandan.10For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.
11Pühiš Kirjutusiš om sanutud: «Ni üks', ken uskob hänehe, ei putu huiktaha.»11For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed.”
12Nece koskeb kut evrejalaižid, muga grekalaižid-ki, sikš ku kaikil om üks' Ižand, i hän andab täudel märal kaikile, ked kucuba händast abuhu.12For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, and is rich to all who call on him.
13Ved' om sanutud Pühiš Kirjutusiš: «Jogahine, ken kucub abuhu Ižandan nimed, linneb päzutadud.»13For, “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
14Nu kut hö voiba kucta abuhu händast, kenehe ei uskkoi? I kutak hö voiba uskta hänehe, kenen polhe ei kulnugoi? I kutak kulištada, ku niken ei sanele?14How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher?
15I kutak saneleškatas, ku nikeda ei ole oigetud sanelemha? Ved' Pühiš Kirjutusiš om sanutud: «Miččed sulad oma neniden jaugad, ked saneleba hüvän vestin kožmusen polhe, neniden, ked saneleba hüväd!»15And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”
16No ei kaik oma kundelnuded hüväd vestid. Ved' Isaija sanub: «Sur' Sünd, ken om usknu meiden sanoihe?»16But they didn’t all listen to the glad news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?”
17Uskond sündub kulendas, a kulend — Jumalan sanas.17So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
18Nügüd' küzun: Jose hö ei olgoi kulnuded? Ka, kuliba:
— Sanankandajiden än' om kajadanu kaikjale mirus,
heiden sanad oma lendnuded man agjoihesai.
18But I say, didn’t they hear? Yes, most certainly, “Their sound went out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”
19Völ küzun: Ei-ik Izrail' ole el'gendanu? Ka om! Ved' Jumal jo Moisejan kal't sanub heile:
— Rahvahan kal't, kudambad ei voi kucta-ki rahvahaks,
minä libutan teiš kadehut,
libutan teiš vihad el'getoman rahvahan päle.
19But I ask, didn’t Israel know? First Moses says, “I will provoke you to jealousy with that which is no nation. I will make you angry with a nation void of understanding.”
20Isaijan kirjas om sanutud völ rohktemba:
— Ned, ked ei ecnugoi mindai,
oma mindai löudnuded,
olen ozutanu ičtain nenile,
ked ei küzunugoi mindai.
20Isaiah is very bold and says, “I was found by those who didn’t seek me. I was revealed to those who didn’t ask for me.”
21A Izrail'an polhe om sanutud: «Kaiken päivän oigendelin ičein käded nenakahan da kundlematoman rahvahan polhe.»
21But about Israel he says, “All day long I stretched out my hands to a disobedient and contrary people.”
