EVANGELII MATVEJAN MÖDHE | Matthew |
Chapter 23 | Chapter 23 |
| 1Sid' Iisus pagiži rahvahale i ičeze openikoile: | 1Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to his disciples, |
| 2«Moisejan ištim om nügüd' käskištonopendajiden i farisejiden valdas. | 2saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees sat on Moses’ seat. |
| 3Ka kut hö käskeba teile eläda, muga elägat i tehkat. Vaiše algat tehkoi heiden tegoiden mödhe, sikš ku hö pagižeba üht, a tegeba tošt. | 3 All things therefore whatever they tell you to observe, observe and do, but don’t do their works; for they say, and don’t do. |
| 4Hö tungeba rahvahale lujas jügedoid kormid, kudambid löumain kantta, no iče hö ei tahtoigoi sormel-ki likahtoitta. | 4 For they bind heavy burdens that are grievous to be borne, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not lift a finger to help them. |
| 5Kaiken, min hö tegeba, hö tegeba vaiše sikš, miše rahvaz sidä nägiži. Miččed levedad sidoged sanoidenke Pühiš Kirjutusišpäi oma heiden ocas da käziš i miččed pit'käd ribud lepkiš! | 5 But they do all their works to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad, enlarge the fringes of their garments, |
| 6Hö navediba ištta praznikan aigan parahimil sijoil i suimpertiš ezmäižil ištmil, | 6 and love the place of honor at feasts, the best seats in the synagogues, |
| 7i oma hüviš meliš, konz mehed irdoil sanuba heile tervhensanoid i kucuba heid ‘ravvi’ — opendai. | 7 the salutations in the marketplaces, and to be called ‘Rabbi, Rabbi’ by men. |
| 8Algat tö antkoi kucta ičtatoi ravvikš, sikš ku teil om vaiše üks' opendai, Hristos, i tö kaik olet velled. | 8 But don’t you be called ‘Rabbi,’ for one is your teacher, the Christ, and all of you are brothers. |
| 9Algat kuckoi tataks nikeda, ken om man päl, sikš ku vaiše üks' om teil Tat, hän, kudamb om taivhas. | 9 Call no man on the earth your father, for one is your Father, he who is in heaven. |
| 10Algat antkoi kucta ičtatoi vedäjikš, sikš ku teil om vaiše üks' vedäi, Messia. | 10 Neither be called masters, for one is your master, the Christ. |
| 11Ken teišpäi om vanhemb, se olgha toižiden abunik. | 11 But he who is greatest among you will be your servant. |
| 12Ken ičtaze korgenzoitab, se linneb alenzoittud, a ken ičtaze alenzoitab, se linneb korgenzoittud.» | 12 Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. |
| 13«Voi teid, käskištonopendajad i farisejad! Tö, koiverdelijad! Tö sauptat taivhan valdkundan rahvahaspäi. Tö iče et mängoi sinna i et pästkoi nenid, ked mänižiba. | 13 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you devour widows’ houses, and as a pretense you make long prayers. Therefore you will receive greater condemnation. |
| 14Voi teid, käskištonopendajad i farisejad! Tö, koiverdelijad! Tö anastat leskiakoil pertid i pit'kha loičet vaiše rahvahan sil'miš. Sidä pahemb tuleb teile sud. | 14 “But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! Because you shut up the Kingdom of Heaven against men; for you don’t enter in yourselves, neither do you allow those who are entering in to enter. |
| 15Voi teid, käskištonopendajad i farisejad! Tö, koiverdelijad! Tö mänet mas läbi i meriden taga, miše tehta hot' üks' mez' teiden openikaks, no konz muga tuleb, teget hänespäi adhu mänijan, kahtišti hondomban, mi iče tö olet! | 15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you travel around by sea and land to make one proselyte; and when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of Gehenna as yourselves. |
| 16Voi teid, tö sogedad vedätajad! Tö sanut: ‘Ku ken-se vahvištoitab ičeze sanad pühäkodin kal't, hänen sana ei maksa nimidä, no ku vahvištoitab ičeze sanad pühäkodin kuldan kal't, siloi tarbiž püžuda ičeze sanas.’ | 16 “Woe to you, you blind guides, who say, ‘Whoever swears by the temple, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gold of the temple, he is obligated.’ |
| 17Tö uradad i sogedad! Mi om suremb, kuld vai pühäkodi, kudamb sen kuldan tegeb pühäks? | 17 You blind fools! For which is greater, the gold, or the temple that sanctifies the gold? |
| 18Tö sanut mugažo: ‘Ku ken-se vahvištoitab ičeze sanad altarin kal't, neciš ei ole nimidä, no ku vahvištoitab ičeze sanad lahjan kal't, kudamb om pandud altarile, siloi hänele tarbiž püžuda ičeze sanas.’ | 18 ‘Whoever swears by the altar, it is nothing; but whoever swears by the gift that is on it, he is obligated?’ |
| 19Tö, uradad i sogedad! Mi om suremb, lahj vai altar', kudamb lahjan tegeb pühäks? | 19 You blind fools! For which is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifies the gift? |
| 20Sen täht, ken vahvištoitab ičeze sanad altarin kal't, hän vahvištoitab sanad i altarin kal't i kaiken kal't, midä om pandud altarile, | 20 He therefore who swears by the altar, swears by it, and by everything on it. |
| 21i ken vahvištoitab ičeze sanad pühäkodin kal't, ka vahvištoitab ned sen kal't i mugažo hänen kal't, ken sigä eläb. | 21 He who swears by the temple, swears by it, and by him who has been living in it. |
| 22I ken vahvištoitab sanad taivhan kal't, ka vahvištoitab sanad Jumalan valdištmen kal't i hänen kal't, ken sigä ištub. | 22 He who swears by heaven, swears by the throne of God, and by him who sits on it. |
| 23Voi teid, käskištonopendajad i farisejad! Tö, koiverdelijad! Tö maksat kümnendesen m'atas, ukropas i tminas, no unohtat siš, mi käskištos om päazj: oiktuz', armahtuz i uskond. Niiden mödhe teile tarbiž eläda, no ei unohtada toižid-ki. | 23 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you tithe mint, dill, and cumin, and have left undone the weightier matters of the law: justice, mercy, and faith. But you ought to have done these, and not to have left the other undone. |
| 24Tö, sogedad vedätajad! Tö segloičet säsken, a laindat verbl'udan! | 24 You blind guides, who strain out a gnat, and swallow a camel! |
| 25Voi teid, käskištonopendajad i farisejad! Tö, koiverdelijad! Puhtastat mal'l'ad i padad irdpolespäi, a südäimes ned oma täuded anastust i värhut. | 25 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and unrighteousness. |
| 26Sinä, soged farisei, puhtasta mal'l'ad i padad ezmäi südäimespäi, siloi ned linneba puhthad irdpolespäi-ki! | 26 You blind Pharisee, first clean the inside of the cup and of the platter, that its outside may become clean also. |
| 27Voi teid, käskištonopendajad i farisejad! Olet tö koiverdelijad! Tö olet kuti čomitadud kaumad. Irdpolespäi ned oma čomad, no südäimespäi oma täuded kollijoiden luid i kaikuttušt paganad. | 27 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitened tombs, which outwardly appear beautiful, but inwardly are full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. |
| 28Mugažo tö-ki olet tozioiktad irdpolespäi, mehiden sil'miš, no südäimes tö olet koiverdelijad i pahantegijad. | 28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inwardly you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. |
| 29Voi teid, käskištonopendajad i farisejad! Tö, koiverdelijad! Tö teget Jumalan sanankandajile surid kivikaumoid, tö čomitat tozioiktoiden kaumad | 29 “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you build the tombs of the prophets, and decorate the tombs of the righteous, |
| 30i sanut: ‘Ku mö elänuižim meiden ezitatoiden aigan, mö em olnuiži värnikad ühtes heidenke Jumalan sanankandajiden veres.’ | 30 and say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our fathers, we wouldn’t have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’ |
| 31Teiden sanad todištaba teid vasthapäi: tö olet neniden ezitatoiden lapsed, ked rikliba Jumalan sanankandajid. | 31 Therefore you testify to yourselves that you are children of those who killed the prophets. |
| 32Ka tehkat lophusai se, min oma zavodinuded teiden tatad! | 32 Fill up, then, the measure of your fathers. |
| 33Tö, madod! Tö, kün lapsed! Tö et voigoi pästta pagod, i teid suditas adhu! | 33 You serpents, you offspring of vipers, how will you escape the judgment of Gehenna? |
| 34Kulgat-žo: Minä oigendan teidennoks Jumalan sanankandajid, melekahid mehid i käskištonopendajid. Toižid tö rikot, i nagloičet ristha, toižid löt kunutoil suimpertiš i kükslet ühtes lidnaspäi toižhe. | 34 Therefore behold, I send to you prophets, wise men, and scribes. Some of them you will kill and crucify; and some of them you will scourge in your synagogues, and persecute from city to city; |
| 35Muga teiden päle lankteb kaikiden tozioiktoiden veri, kudamb man päl om pästtud, tozioiktan Avel'an verespäi Zaharian, Varahian poigan verhesai, hänen, keda tö rikoit pühäkodin i altarin keskhe. | 35 that on you may come all the righteous blood shed on the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zachariah son of Barachiah, whom you killed between the sanctuary and the altar. |
| 36Todeks sanun teile: kaik nece lankteb nügüdläižen rahvahan päle!» | 36 Most certainly I tell you, all these things will come upon this generation. |
| 37«Jerusalim, Jerusalim! Sinä rikled Jumalan sanankandajid i tacelten kivid surmitad nenid, ked om oigetud sinunnoks. Kuverz' kerdad minä olen tahtoinu kogota sinun rahvahan, muga kut kana kogodab ičeze poigid suugiden alle! No tö et tahtoinugoi tulda. | 37 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets, and stones those who are sent to her! How often I would have gathered your children together, even as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you would not! |
| 38Kulgat nügüd': teiden pert' jäb teile tühjaks. | 38 Behold, your house is left to you desolate. |
| 39Minä sanun teile: tö et nägištagoi mindai neciš päiväspäi sihesai, kuni sanut: Blahoslovidud om hän, ken tuleb Ižandan nimes!» | 39 For I tell you, you will not see me from now on, until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ” |
