Matthew

Chapter 16

Chapter 16

Iisusannoks tuli farisejid i saddukejid, kudambad tahtoiba händast kodvda i pakičiba ozutada znaman taivhaspäi.1The Pharisees and Sadducees came, and testing him, asked him to show them a sign from heaven.
No Iisus sanui heile: «Ehtal tö sanut: ‘Tuleb čoma sä, sikš ku taivaz ruskneb,’2But he answered them, “When it is evening, you say, ‘It will be fair weather, for the sky is red.’
i homendesel: ‘Tämbei tuleb hond sä, sikš ku taivaz om mustrusked i jügedoiš pil'viš.’ Tö, koiverdelijad! Taivast tö mahtat lugeda, a et mahtkoi el'geta aigan znamoid.3 In the morning, ‘It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the appearance of the sky, but you can’t discern the signs of the times!
Nece paha i jumalatoi rahvaz pakičeb tundmuzznamad, no üksjaine znam, kudamban sille anttas, om Jumalan sanankandajan Jonan znam.» Hän jäti heid i läksi sigäpäi.
An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign, and there will be no sign given to it, except the sign of the prophet Jonah.” He left them, and departed.
Openikad ehtatihe toižele randale, no hö oliba unohtanuded otta kerdale leibäd.5The disciples came to the other side and had forgotten to take bread.
Iisus sanui heile: «Olgat herkhil. Varaikat farisejiden i saddukejiden muigotest.»6Jesus said to them, “Take heed and beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
No hö vaiše pagižiba kesknezoi: «Mö em otnugoi leibäd.»7They reasoned among themselves, saying, “We brought no bread.”
Iisus homaiči sen i sanui heile: «Tö vähäuskojad! Mihe tö pagižet siš, miše et otnugoi leibäd?8Jesus, perceiving it, said, “Why do you reason among yourselves, you of little faith, ‘because you have brought no bread?’
Et-ik tö völ-ki el'gekoi? Et muštkoi nenid vit leibäd, kudambid täudui videletuhale? I äjak puzud tö völ kerazit?9 Don’t you yet perceive, neither remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many baskets you took up?
A nene seičeme leibäd, kudambid täudui nelläletuhale? Äjak puzuid tö kerazit?10 Nor the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many baskets you took up?
Kut tö et el'gekoi, miše en sanund minä leibäs, konz pagižin: ‘Varaikat farisejiden i saddukejiden muigotest’?11 How is it that you don’t perceive that I didn’t speak to you concerning bread? But beware of the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”
Siloi hö el'genziba, miše hän ei käskend varaita leibän muigotest, a farisejiden i saddukejiden opendust.
Then they understood that he didn’t tell them to beware of the yeast of bread, but of the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.
Tuldes Filippan Kesarian tahoze Iisus küzui openikoil: «Ken minä, Mehen Poig, olen mehiden sil'miš? »13Now when Jesus came into the parts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?”
Hö sanuiba: «Toižed sanuba, miše — Joan Valatai, toižed — Ilja, erased meletaba, miše — Jeremia vai mitte-ni toine Jumalan sanankandai.»14They said, “Some say John the Baptizer, some, Elijah, and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets.”
«Nu a kut tö?» — küzui Iisus. «Ken minä olen teiden sil'miš?»15He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?”
Simon Petr sanui: «Sinä oled Messia, eläban Jumalan Poig.»16Simon Peter answered, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
Iisus sanui hänele: «Ozav oled sinä, Simon, Jonan poig. Necidä ei sanund sinei liha da veri, vaiše minun Tat, kudamb om taivhas.17Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
I minä sanun sinei: sinä oled Petr — kal'l', i necile kal'l'ole minä panen ičein uskondkundan, i surman valdkund ei voi püžuda vahvas sidä vasthapäi.18 I also tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my assembly, and the gates of Hades will not prevail against it.
Minä andan sinei taivhan valdkundan avadimed. Midä sinä kel'däd man päl, se linneb kel'tüd taivhas, i mille sinä andad valdan man päl, sille linneb anttud vald taivhas.»19 I will give to you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will have been bound in heaven; and whatever you release on earth will have been released in heaven.”
[Iisus] ei käskend ičeze openikoile siloi sanuda nikenele, miše hän om Iisus, Messia.
Then he commanded the disciples that they should tell no one that he was Jesus the Christ.
Siš aigaspäi Iisus zavodi pagišta openikoile, miše hänele tarbiž mända Jerusalimha i äi mokitas rahvahan vanhembiden, ülembaižiden papiden i käskištonopendajiden käziš. Händast surmitas, no koumandel päiväl hän eläbzub.21From that time, Jesus began to show his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders, chief priests, and scribes, and be killed, and the third day be raised up.
Petr vei händast eriži i lajiškanzi: «Kaiče, Jumal! Se ei voi tehtas sinei, Ižand!»22Peter took him aside, and began to rebuke him, saying, “Far be it from you, Lord! This will never be done to you.”
No hän kärauzihe i sanui Petrale: «Mäne sen tehe, soton! Sinä tahtoid veda mindai grähkähä. Sinä ed meleta kut Jumal, a meletad kut mez'!»
But he turned, and said to Peter, “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, for you are not setting your mind on the things of God, but on the things of men.”
Iisus sanui openikoile: «Ku ken-ni tahtoib eläda minun mödhe, ka unohtagha ičtaze, otkaha ičeze rist i astkaha minunke.24Then Jesus said to his disciples, “If anyone desires to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Ved' ken tahtoib kaita ičeze henged, ka kadotab sen, no ken kadotab ičeze hengen minun tagut, ka kaičeb sidä.25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever will lose his life for my sake will find it.
Midä ližad om mehele, ku hän sab ičeleze kaiken mirun, no kadotab ičeze hengen? Miččel maksul mez' voib ostta ičeze hengen tagaze?26 For what will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, and forfeits his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life?
Mehen Poig tuleb ičeze Tatan hoštoteses ičeze angeloidenke, i siloi hän maksab kaikuččele hänen tegoiden mödhe.27 For the Son of Man will come in the glory of his Father with his angels, and then he will render to everyone according to his deeds.
Todeks sanun teile: tägä seižujan rahvahan keskes oma mugoižed, ked ei kolgoi edel ku nägištaba, miše Mehen Poig tuleb kunigahan.»
Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste of death, until they see the Son of Man coming in his Kingdom.”
